Introduction

Lunar Promise

Axonis was altogether a different world. The beasts, who we always thought were villains, were misunderstood people and didn't mean to hurt the heroes and heroines we've seen in different fairytales. Examples? The three bears in Goldilocks. Beast from Beauty and the Beast. The wolf from Little Red Riding Hood. They were all misunderstood, especially the Wolf.

In this strange world, there is a weird twist in life- Instead of hearts, people had roses. Once a petal falls off, a part of your life gets taken away, making you a bit weaker. Roses were restored by water, or a special method: If you have a loved one, they must kiss the rose, and it will be restored. However, the person must do so willingly- Forcing him/her to do it will only make one of the petals fall again.

Promises are also special to them- There is an event for it. Once a full moon rises in the night sky, you will make a promise to a close person, be it a lover, a friend, or a relative. This is a sacred promise, known as a promise "made under the stars and blessed with the moonlight".

But other than that, the people of this land live peacefully. Wars rarely break out- Peace settled here a long time ago.

The land is split into 3 countries:

First is the Kingdom, ruled by a King and Queen. A lot of nobles are here, but there are citizens, too.

Second, the Hunters Land, the place for those who are more on the wild side. Hunters, outcasts, you name it..... they all reside here.

And the last is the Bestial Palace. It is ruled by the Prince of Beasts. Beasts, like the wolf, the raven, the tiger all live here, far from humans. However, some humans wander into this strange country sometimes.
