|| Nickname || Also known as “Luka,” subject’s middle name. Subject prefers this appellation for its brevity and sentimental value, but seems resistant to its use by authority figures.

|| Role || [Note 03.24.11-100: Subject is among Project EVO escapees. This was unexpected. Dossier currently under review and revision. Original evaluators in consultation.]
|| Weight || 215 lbs
|| Height || 6’2”
|| Hair Color || Natural Black
|| Eye Color || Light Grey
|| Skin Tone || Caucasian
|| Home City || Hades
|| Social Rank || 10
|| Personality || Subject’s most obvious trait is an impressive intellect. Records indicate he scored perfectly on the EVO entrance exams, as well as on his rank assessment tests. At the request of the Athena Project heads, further psychological workup is conducted and relayed below by Dr. Megumi Tanaka, EVO staff psychiatrist:
“Luka displays what in some way are the personality traits considered ‘standard’ for those of genius-level intellect—he is withdrawn, secretive, and at times somewhat neurotic. Obsessed with perfection in all its forms, this tendency carries not just to his mental faculties, but his physical ones as well: his physique and standards of personal care indicate both a fastidious attention to detail and also the willpower and forethought necessary to plan even his own life with the objective analysis of a third party.
Indeed, Luka seems to treat himself as a means to an end, though what end was at first opaque to me. After several sessions, he was still reluctant to discuss, but seemed inclined to offer information to placate me: he says that he takes issue with the societal ranking system, perhaps a byproduct of his parents’ low status and his own meteoric rise to the top of the social heap. Beyond this, he refuses to elaborate. Even that much, I think, was information given to me because he grew tired of the questions I asked, and impatient with our sessions in general, making it hard to determine the truth of the matter.
Observation of Luka in social situations, particularly with other Athena candidates, seems to indicate a kind of social anxiety. It is not crippling—he seems to be able to interact on a surface level without many problems. He resists deeper inquiries or overtures of friendship, however, and does not seem to know how to react to the kindness of others. His extreme introversion may be partially to blame for this, as might a lack of socialization with people approximately his own age. It would be hard, I think, to approximate his IQ, even here, but I don’t think that even this would help. Though he seems unsure of himself in social situations, he also tends to be observant of them—I expect he knows more of most people than he would ever expect them to know of him, and this brings him some level of comfort in what is otherwise murky water.
Beyond all else, Tsubasa Ito is a young man with something to prove. When his capacities are called into question, he reacts with unusual vehemence, entirely shutting himself off from the conversation and the other person trying to conduct it. He does not appreciate the suggestion that he is in some way inadequate, and I believe that this motivates him to never be so. He is pathologically afraid of his own failure, and will go to greater lengths than most to prevent it. This, in the absence of any real mediating social or emotional connection with other people, gives him a potential for ruthlessness and self-destruction, but also for great achievement. I can only surmise that he would be extremely grateful for any chance to prove himself a worthwhile individual, better than his origins, and given this, he should be easily manipulable. This, coupled with his obvious advantages in areas both physical and mental, make him quite possibly the ideal candidate for the Athena Project. His inclusion is highly recommended.”
|| Likes || Subject has displayed preferences towards solitude over company, though if he must be around other people, he seems inclined to the ones who do not make overly expressive gestures of any kind. In his free time, the subject has been observed both reading and playing the violin in his living quarters. Food habits indicate a preference for sweet items.
|| Dislikes || Subject appears to have a mild aversion to interpersonal contact, perhaps due to limited previous exposure. Conversationally, he is reluctant to discuss the matter of his own history or parentage, though the reasons for this, beyond the obvious, are inscrutable. Subject has been observed reacting negatively to breaks in the efficiency of his routine, or interruptions when speaking or thinking.
|| Esper Power || Subject displays an unusual reaction to the serum. He has manifested the ability to psychically manipulate gravity fields in his proximity. Thus far in field testing, he has been able to either increase or decrease the gravity of a thirty-foot radius about himself at will. The range of this force is still undergoing testing, but at present, it seems that he is able to lessen gravity enough for superhuman jumps and similar phenomena to occur. As the radius centers on subject’s person, he has been recorded jumping as far as twenty-five yards laterally and several stories vertically in one leap. Observers postulate that with further development, zero gravity and therefore flight may be possible. On the other end of the spectrum, subject is able to generate enough gravatic force to severely limit the movement of other beings within his radius, though the subject himself is unaffected. Experiments with maintaining multiple fields at once have thus far been inconclusive, but subject improves his abilities at a rapid rate.
|| Skills/Strengths ||
[Intelligence]: EVO, and to a greater extent the Athena Project, do not accept those of substandard intellect. Even among the best and the brightest, however, subject may be the brightest. Quantitative, spatial, and logical reasoning skills are genius-level, at the very least.
[Fitness]: To our advantage, subject has made himself knowledgeable in the areas of physical training and ideal muscle-to-weight ratios, and maintains these through a careful program of exercise. Subject has also taken well to several types of combat training that allow for a combination of physical reactiveness and tactical planning.
|| Fears/Weaknesses ||
[Social Intelligence]: Subject has issues dealing with people, especially in large groups or at high levels of perceived energy. Extreme introversion almost, but not quite, translates to misanthropy. More than anything, subject is cautious, and does not “open up” to others in the familiar patterns of human interaction. He does not seem to understand when this would be normatively required of him.
[Failure]: Subject is obsessed with perfection, and suffers a debilitating fear of failure. Often will not engage in any kind of active implementation of intentions until he can be certain or almost certain that success is immanent. Caution is also his primary weakness as a combatant—progress on the development of his abilities is slowed only by his own perfectionism.
|| Weapons/Equipment || Subject prefers to fight with his hands when at all possible, as this minimizes the amount of variables to be accounted for in the execution of maneuvers. Subject is, however, trained in both close and long-range weaponry, though he is not often seen to carry such devices, preferring to rely upon his esper powers and his training in martial arts.
|| Biography || Subject is reticent with this information. From background research and application materials, EVO officials have concluded that the subject was born in Hades slums to two level-3 parents, both of whom were on the lower border in most of their assessments. Subject’s home life was average for one in such conditions: he occupied a two-room apartment with both parents and a younger sister. Though the military is ever-present in Hades, it does not always reach the slums, and a reasonable conclusion is that subject was living among criminals of various kinds, in conditions that were neither particularly safe nor comfortable.
Subject tested at level 10 in his very first assessment, something which prompted a retest, for which the results were the same. It was initially suspected that subject had found some way to be duplicitous on the exam, but subsequent evaluations indicated the same level of cognitive capability, and the result was accepted as genuine. Notes further indicated that subject’s sister tested at level 5 several years later.
Subject, for reasons unknown, took the EVO entrance exam at first opportunity, passing without a single error, upon which time he was enrolled with the rest of the class of that year. As with all such cases, he has had no subsequent contact with his family. Disciplinary reports indicate that the first few years at EVO were trying for the subject—there are several documented instances of physical confrontation with other students, these universally of more privileged background than the subject himself. In every recorded instance, the other party was the instigator, though subject did display disproportionate aggression in his early years with EVO. Subject has since become the very model of an ideal EVO student, from grades to behaviors, and his acceptance into the Athena Project was only a formality—the heads of the project had scouted him long before the application process began.
|| Other || Subject is easily-identifiable in a crowd—in addition to considerable height, he favors black and little else by way of wardrobe selection.
