CRyuka glanced at Kayama, as he spoke of his Persona. He already knew his thing's name? She only heard her Persona's voice, never really having a conversation with it. She felt her hands wrap around her necklace, and she looked down at it, finally looking at it. Her finger traced the wolf carving that ran around in a circle. As she looked at the center, her face morphed. It was a blue wolf that growled back at her. Was this what he had been talking about.

Igor smiled at the student, as he spoke the persona's name.

"Verethragna you say? The Fortune Arcana seems to have chosen you...." The man continued as his big round eyes peered into the student's eyes. He turned his gaze to the girl, and spoke towards her.

"And you...what is your persona's name?"

Ryuka hesitated, not sure what to say. She sighed inwardly to herself, and tried to focus in the mirror. The wolf's mouth seemed to move, as if to tell her the anwser that was just asked.

Ryuka watched it intently, as she spoke. "Fen...rir? She responded, trying to read what the wolf was saying. She gave a firmer nod, then said "Fenrir...is the wolf's name..." She said, a bit more with her confidence back. The wolf seemed pleased with that, as she let go of her mirror.

"Ah...The Chariot Arcana has chosen you." Igor responded, as he lifted something from the desk. He held a deck of cards in his gloved hands, on it's back was a opera mask with a dark and light shading. He picked two cards, and placed them on the desk. One card had a black wheel, and the center had a pointed up sword that lay across it. While the other card portrayed a man in a chariot pulled by what looked like two lions.

Though as the cards slid across the round table towards the students, it shifted into something else. The Fortune card shifted into a black figure, with a white mask as a face, holding a sword with a string of coffins behind it. The Chariot card shifted into a blue wolf, growling with chains round its neck and legs.

"Your personas have called you here for a task...To destroy the shadows that haunt this place called Tayles..." He trailed off, before then adding "Your personas have awakened to protect your mind from shadows...those monsters that tried to attack you earlier. And they will do so in this world as well..."

Ryuka paused to blink taking in the information. She picked up the card that was slid toward them, looking at her persona. Fenrir...a blue wolf that would protect her? It sounded like a fantasy book or something, again not something that happened in real life.

He continued on

"You two are aware of how this world is affected your own, correct? People falling asleep and never waking up again...that is this world's fault. The shadows draw in people, and keep them trapped here, while their minds are slowly devoured...You were drawn here to fix it. It is your destiny! The cards have foresaw it, and now you must follow it."

Ryuka didn't know how to respond to that whole thing, so she remained silent as the words sank in slowly. They were the reason why that epidemic was happening right now? It was hard to believe, after all most of the time the reason said was stress...She glanced at Kayama, as if asking what should we do?

(Damn, mistakes)

He trailed off, before then adding "Your personas have awakened to protect your mind from shadows...those monsters that tried to attack you earlier. And they will do so in this world as well..."

Kayama nodded and continue to focus on the old man's speech.

"You two are aware of how this world is affected your own, correct? People falling asleep and never waking up again...that is this world's fault. The shadows draw in people, and keep them trapped here, while their minds are slowly devoured...You were drawn here to fix it. It is your destiny! The cards have foresaw it, and now you must follow it."

Kayama sighed. As if his life wasn't destiny-chained enough, he had this... business clinging onto him and having this old man who lives inside a door in the middle of nowhere that he don't even know where at all to tell him that this is his destiny. Remembering that he left the card on the table, he grabbed it and stared at the picture on the card. A black wheel surrounded a Pharaoh-like structure with a tall building behind it. Two figures, a snake of some sort on the bottom and a legged dinosaur with sharp beaks and a long sharp tail.

Behind it, he can see Verethragna floating and staring at him. With only stares, they conversed with each other, understanding what they both are saying. Before long, a grin appeared on his face. He flipped the card and threw it up, grabbing it mid-air. He opened his hands and the card disappeared. An evil look on his eyes replaced his cool eyes from before, and it turned more red instead of purple. He stood up and turned for the door.

"So we basically just need to kill these motherfuckers, eh? Sounds fine to me." His voice more sharp than before, and it seemed as it he would have had an mad laughter. But before he could open the door, Igor stopped him. "So it seems that you are the first one." The old man grinned. He grabbed a few cards from behind and laid it down on the table, and the entire room transformed into an arena.

"Crazy old man. I don't know how you did that, but it's impressive. The way you found me out so damn fast. It'll be nice to kill you first, you old fucker." A large grin appears as Kayama takes a few step back. His Persona, Verethragna, appears behind him, however, it was different this time. All of it's colors were inverted. Its white mask were colored to black and so on to the others. A dark aura emits around his body, and a dark light shone inside his shirt.

"My name, is Verethragna. I was once a mortal who never lost. I was the god of victory. Because I was a mortal, I died of their incurable disease called "Death". I have now finally found a vessel for myself, and again I shall win. My name shall be known to all again, and this world... Tayles... shall be my first world to conquer!"

His sharp and blurred out voice echoes throughout the arena. He turns and points to Ryuka, who was staring at him.

"You, woman. Bearer of the avatar Fenrir. The beast of the North. I never fought a god of an older age than I do. I guess I shall kill you first. Rejoice, as you shall be cleanse by my hands! Muahahahaha!" With a swing of his hand, his Persona charges at Ryuka, who was then protected by another entity; Fenrir. "Good! Entertain me more, Fenrir and its master! Muahahaha!"

As she glanced at Kayama, she instantly knew something had happen to him. He stared at the card the old man gave him for too long, and her eyes widened as a grin spread across her face. It was confirmed as his eyes shifted into a the color of blood. She stood up at once, still holding the Chariot card, and watched as Kayama was about to leave. Though, as he threatened to kill Igor, her fists balled up.

Then he pointed at Ryuka. As the berserk Persona charged at her, her eyes widened. Everything seemed to move in slow motion, until she grabbed her mirror and called out the wolf's name.

"Fenrir!"

The wolf came out in an instant, as ice surronded it. With it's massive paws, it stood up on hind legs and blocked the attack with it's chains around its front paws. Her eyes widened briefly, before looking back at the other student. He had lost control of himself...how though? His persona or what ever took over. Her eyes narrowed, as she felt her fist balled up once again, her nails digging into the palms of her hands.

"I am the deity Fenrir! The one who slays the god Odin during Ragnarok! You shall be my next prey!" Her wolf spoke back with a growl and snarl at the end.

She just had to get Kayama back to normal, and how would she do that? By kicking, punching, and insulting. "It's funny, I always figured you were crazy inside...looks like I was right, like usual!" Ryuka retorted, a smirk playing on her lips.

The wolf jumped back, as Ryuka did, and Ryuka got into a fighting stance. If she could use Fenrir to attack his persona, she may be able to hit Kayama and he would get out of it. Cause honestly, she really wanted to slap the guy right now.

Without all the furniture the velvet room had, it was quite spacious, which was perfect for a fight. She touched her pendant, and then said "Bufu! The wolf obeyed, and opened it's mouth. It shot out a quick blast of a sharp icicle towards the persona. First she had to distract the other persona, then she could focus on the student.

"Tch. Annoying beast." He swung his hands and the Persona followed suit. It tried to cut the icicle in half, however, it exploded, causing damage to the Persona and the user himself. Kayama staggered and attempted to regain his balance, taking a few steps back. He heard a shout for order so he quickly his head up; only to find Fenrir charging at him. He threw out his hands and faced his palms on the incoming attack. The Persona followed the command and went in front of him, defending its master. The wolf was stopped with a blade in the mouth, however, it was stubborn and it kept on pushing, causing the bigger Persona to be pushed back too.

"Don't be such a bitch, you beast! Just stay down quietly like the stray dog you are and let me cut you down, fucker!" He yelled and the Persona kicked the wolf. It regained its footing mid-air and charged again. The Persona followed suit and engaged in a fight with the wolf. Just as he spotted a chance, he motioned his hands as if it was a blade and strike it diagonally and shouted, "Cleave!" The Persona readies its stance and sheathed its katana, before unsheathing in a lightning fast speed.

A moment after swinging its sword, there will nothing. The wolf remained in a defensive stance, and before long, a huge cut comes slicing its body. Even though its ethereal, the sharp howl it made must have meant pain, and no doubt, the user would have been damaged too. The Persona continued and grabbed the weakened wolf by the neck whereas Kayama rushed towards Ryuka and jumped, attempting to punch her.

She dodged the attack and simultaneously, the wolf kicked the Persona and did a back flip, landing perfectly on the ground. "Oh, come on! Just give up already, you persistent bitch! Nothing comes good if you are stubborn! Surrender to my power!" However, right as he said it, one of his eyebrows raised. "What the fuck are you talking about?! You said that you entrust everything to me!" Kayama turned to the side, as if there was someone beside him. The Persona drops its blade and holds its temples, as it screams in pain.

"What'do ya mean, you don't want to fight anymore?! Don't you remember those pain you went through back then?! You plead for help and no one came to help! I saw your predicament and decided to help you. Don't tell me you don't want to fight anymore, you asshole!" The screaming Persona was suddenly wrapped in chains, as it struggled to break free and to hold in the pain it felt. "W-What are you doing?! Stop! Stoop!"

Suddenly, Kayama jumped around in pain. He placed his palms around his temples and screamed. His red eyes was soon replaced with his normal purplish eyes and again it regained his normal cool look. He was breaking cold sweat everywhere and every moment possible. He looked at Ryuka in distress. "Take this chance and... take out my... Persona I'm slowly losing... my conscious... Taking it out.... is the only... way... to end this... crap... Argh! Hurry!" He hurried the confused blue-haired pres.

Ryuka watched as the ice exploded, it had given her the opening she needed. "Fenrir!" Her persona obeyed, and tried to pounce on Kayama,but was interuptted when his persona came into way. The persona swung its arm at Fenrir, and it took a direct hit. Ryuka winced a bit, as she heard her wolf yelp in pain, and felt a slight sting to her side. Ryuka blinked as she then said "Dia! The wolf howled, and she felt better, as the persona healed itself.

As she was about to strike again, she saw the other persona start to break down. The chains wrapped quickly around its body, as it struggled desperately to get out from the chains. He was waking up again! She felt relief wash through her body, as Kayama spoke, though pained. He had decided to step up it seemed. She offered quick nod to him, before turning back to his persona.

"Bufu! Ryuka said, and the ice shot out at the trapped persona. It couldn't dodge so it was a direct hit. But she knew it wouldn't finish it off.

"Skull Cracker!" She added after. Fenrir charged and waved its massive clawed paws to strike the persona right across it's torso. It would cause more damage then the bufu spell, since it seemed like Fenrir was made more for physical attacks then magic attacks.

Ryuka watched as the chains broke, and the persona slumped to the ground, flickering briefly. With that done, she ran over to Kayama, before saying "Kayama-kun! Are you alright?!" Though she did feel the need to punch hi-just oncebut restrained herself from doing so since he was currently the one who needed help.

It was all quite a blur, fear and adrenaline have rather potent effects on the body and the mind. The feeling of being hunted and unsafe was enough to propel Mai through the halls behind her seniors who seemed to be equally uncertain of what exactly was happening in this old abandoned building. Before she knew it they were in a classroom that was for some reason deemed safe, though Mai wasn't convinced of this she felt compelled to simply stay and follow the suit of her seniors.

The Prez and one of the boys she hadn't gotten the name of seemed to have discovered something in the room, an old pocket mirror. The boy was intent on retrieving the small item, and just as Mai was moving up to her feet to check it out as well he shouted out and almost as quickly seemed to just pass out, the Prez quickly falling as well. Though she wanted to scream all that came out was a gasp as she bolted towards the two limp bodies, she however would only make it about half-way through the room, brought to her knees by a ringing pain in her ears and in her head, a garbled voice speaking what sounded like gibberish to her dominated all of her focus as it rang out in her mind.

The gibberish slowly seemed to turn into something that sounded like language, but not one Mai had ever heard. The voice also didn't seem to be something threatening or dangerous, it almost sounded to be pleading with her. Mai shook her head fiercely and the voice began to fade, as did the pain and disorientation. In its place however was the strange feeling that she should go look at the mirror as well. After heaving a deep breath Mai rose to her feet and approached the small mirror, her hand visibly shaking as she reached out to take it. With just a moment's hesitation she fixed her gaze upon the reflective surface, but what stared back at her was most certainly not her. What she saw were flames, but it was more than that, the flames had a shape resembling a large bird of prey. "Wha?..." That was all she could muster before darkness overtook her vision and she fell to the floor unconscious.

She woke with a groan a few moments later, struggling through some lingering pains to move on to her knees. She felt a sharp pain through her head as she looked upon the alien and barren landscape around her, her gaze lingering on the red moon in the otherwise pitch-black sky. After spending several moments collecting herself she finally moved up to her feet and began scanning the area desperately for any sign of the Prez or that other boy. The place was barren, there wasn't a soul in sight... The only thing out of place that she had spotted was a strange blue door in the distance. Lacking much of any other direction she began her way towards the solitary door. It felt like she was walking forever, but she finally arrived at the door and reached out towards the handle, taking hold of it and swinging the door open with no small deal of force.

Her eyes shut instinctively as a bright light enveloped her vision, but as the light faded and her vision returned she found herself in some sort of arena. At this point she didn't even bat an eye at the odd transition, considering everything else that happened this day. Immediately the presence of a large blue wolf caught her attention, the wolf however seemed to be preoccupied with something else... That something else being the Prez, standing over the unconscious body of the boy from before. "Wha... What's going on here?!" She wasn't sure Ryuka would have any answers for her but she had to ask. She felt her hands ball into fists, she wanted to feel relieved at finding them but all she felt was... Angry, confused, upset. Why were they here? Was this the President's plan all along? "Tell me! Why did you drag us here?!" As she shouted and seethed an incredibly hot and dry gust of wind poured through the arena. Her usual cold blue eyes were usurped by a burning red as the fiery form of her Phoenix burst into existence behind her.

The Phoenix let out a loud screech as Mai raised her hand to point at Ryuka, "I'm going to make you pay for this! I won't let you get away with all this selfishness! AGI!" As the strange word left her mouth flames billowed forth from Phoenix' mouth towards Ryuka.

Invisible attacks struck his persona, as he himself feels the pain for himself. A sharp piercing sensation stabs through his chest. The pain as there, however, if felt awfully weird that he couldn't where the pain as coming from. All he can do is to feel the pain as it goes through his entire body. As if the stab wasn't enough, another attack followed and struck him. He felt as if large claws were digging into his body and dragging all the way across his torso but there any sign of the attack.

The pain were too much for his mind to take. He fell on his knees, but just before he falls face first onto the ground, he managed to land on one of his hand. He panted heavily and cold sweat broke everywhere, flowing down his face and body faster than when he is exhausted from sports. He took a moment to stare at the ground before lifting his head back up. He saw Ryuka kneeling next to him, frantically asking whether he's okay. He wanted to make a jab to tell her that he's okay, but he couldn't find the energy to.

But just as when he thought everything was over, another girl came into the Velvet Room. With her easily noticeable orange hair, it was easy to see that she was Mairu, wearing an angry and confused expression. She blurted out some words and suddenly, a giant flaming bird of some sort appeared behind her. She shouted something and caused the bird to conjure something in its mouth and firing towards them.

Reacting upon only on instincts, he quickly got up and stood in the direction of the approaching fireball. He motioned his hands forward, his palms facing the fire. The flickering Persona stood up, now in it's original form, and swiftly jumped in front of Kayama. It dropped its katana and raised up its hands, directly receiving the attack head on. Flames engulfed around his body, and Kayama screamed in agony along with his Persona.

However, Kayama did not falter. He stood back up and ran towards the berserk girl behind the flaming bird. The Persona followed suit and kicked the flaming bird aside, the user also feeling the pain. He charged towards the girl in pain and raised his fist, his left eye closed shut as he can still feel the pain caused by the flames. Verethragna grabbed its blade on the ground and slowly walked towards the flaming bird and raised its blade, ready to stab it directly into the chest.

[DERP]

"Mairu?" Ryuka muttered as the girl yelled. She turned, then saw a fireball racing towards the two of the seniors. Her eyes widened, but before she could react, Kayama had stood up and used his persona to block the attack. She winced as she heard Kayama and his persona shout out in pain. What the hell was that girl doing?! Why was she attacking them? Did she go berserk too?

The blue wolf stood in front of her once again. She pointed at humanoid persona then said "Dia! The wolf howled again, and healed the former enemy as if to heal the damage done to him for Kayama. She made the connection between getting hit and their persona. When they got hit, the users also felt the pain of it. The spell she had used was some kind of healing spell.

"Bufu!

The ice was conjured once again and shot it towards the fire bird. She watched as Kayama ran towards the girl, but saw what his persona was about to do. If it did that, would Mairu die? That was the president's only thought, as she watched her eyes widening.

"KAYAMA! Control your fucking persona!" The president yelled towards the other student, desperation and panic evident in her voice. She didn't want to use Fenrir to attack the persona, since he was already feeling a lot of pain.

Mai winced at the pain that shot through her side as Phoenix was kicked away, the agile bird however quickly recovered in the air just in time to roll away from the incoming Bufu. Though she avoided the large chunk of ice the mere proximity of the icy object seemed to dampen Phoenix' flames. "Garu!" Mai shouted this command to her persona and a directed, sharp blast of wind aimed at Kayama's persona was released. Finally Mai concerned herself with the charging Kayama, not having quite enough time to dodge away she brought up her arms in a guarded position, taking the boy's punch into her arm as opposed to her head or her torso.

She glared at Kayama, her red eyes flaring up, "Just fall down already! This is all HER fault!" She began to back away slowly from Kayama, maintaining her defensive stance but also wishing to put some distance between the two. She seemed a bit fatigued, not to mention the pain she was feeling. Mai's body was not one accustomed to fighting, but the unnatural rage she was displaying seemed to fuel her on.

The punch hit, but it did not went through Mairu's block. Instantaneously, he jumped back and clumsily landed butt. He was slowly losing control of his body, but he was determined to not give up. He quickly got back up and prepared another attack and exactly an attack hit his persona. He felt countless of blade lightly cutting him everywhere and right where his Persona were, a huge gusts of green win engulfed it. It ended soon, though, but the damage wasn't as painful as a bufu. It seems like bufu is his Person'a weakness. He didn't have the time to note down anything on his mind.

Immediately, he stood back up, his left hand holding his right arm. The pain was so intense that he wanted to just faint right here right now and just forget about everything. But he couldn't do that. Something tells him that he can't leave this berserk Persona alone, and Ryuka is not in the condition to fight a berserk Persona. He became berserk once, and he had a feeling that it somehow increased his powers in exchange for his consciousness.

He motioned his hands up and the towering Persona jumped back and did the same motion. Moments later, black clouds were surrounding the arena and lightning were present. He threw his hands down and shouted, "Zio!" where then the Persona followed. A single line of yellow lightning struck right down on the flaming bird, and while it ended quick, it should had seemed to be extremely effective.

Mairu was still standing, albeit the lightning strike took the toll on her. Kayama knows that his previous attack wasn't able to knock her out. He spread out his legs in a readied stance that most martial artists take. He took a deep breath and close his eyes. He concentrated and when he was done, he opened his eyes. "Tarukaja!" The Persona shouted into the air. A small light surrounded Kayama and the Persona. He felt as if his punches were stronger somehow, and taking the bet that it is, he charged.

Both him and his Persona was charging towards their respective opponents. The Persona reached first as it attempted to swung once at the flaming bird. It dodged abruptly as it was still recovering from the Zio attack earlier. His Persona turned and continued its attack shortly. Kayama was then really close to Mairu, and assuming that she will either dodge or try to block his attack, he stopped his movement at the last movement and threw his punch to the right, hoping that it would confuse her and have her jump to the right where his punch would hit directly.
