Detritus of the Detente

The Hidden GlenSetting: The Hidden Glen

Ix stumbles into this glen
Holding Driselda hand she would ask in elvish, "Are you sure this is a good idea my love?" the young snow elf asked, her face not vamperic but her skin slightly paler blue. She had no entered Wing City since the great change and it had taken her time to get used to this sudden new direction in her life. What was stranger was how the person had known where they were, he even mailed a letter, who even wrote those in Wing City? In her experience she had not heard of it until the letter had come, with a strange seal and talk of promises to unite us all.

To her this felt like a trap, which is why they had both insisted on it being dark rather than coming here and risking disintegration due to the intense sunlight. Also this area was rather shaded and seemed harder to ambush people.

Thankfully she could still do her magic which was a huge relief, and no doubt Driselda had her means of acting if worse came to the worse.
"I am not sure my dear...but we will soon find out what this is all about" She said as she tightened her grip on her lover's hand, her other hand at her side with her shield on her arm. It had been some time since she had come out with Tiaan, her form extremely pale from hunger as she had not been feeding in sometime. Her yellow eyes moving back and forth from shadow to shadow as if watching for the one who sent her the letter
The letter had been delivered successfully, that much was apparent. How it had been delivered was something Casren preferred to give no though to: it had been a grueling affair. Well, here they were, just as strange as he expected. One of them smelled of...Things he had never smelled before, which didn't happen often.

In all seriousness, what was that smell? Being an old vampire, you tend to recognize most smells, having had travelled to most places...
Dots walked into the glen, wearing her black dress, light teal shirt under the dress, and her black gloves. Dots' hair in one ponytail to her right side, instead of having two braids. She received the letter earlier about the meeting in the Glen, hoping this wasn't some scam, or some way for a group of bandits could brutally rape, murder, and steal her things. Scratching the back of her head, she could tell there was a few people in the area. Wondering know, she hoped these people were truthfully were doing a meeting.
He was enjoying a rather nice walk in the woods before he fell. Not crying out, the only sound is the crash of dry leafs and the faint sound of the music coming for his headphone that had fallen off. He looks around and is surprised to see that he isn't alone in these woods. Too many for him to feel comfortable killing and eating, especially seeing as how they all look pretty powerful. Standing up and brushing off any dirt, he walks forward and introduces himself. "Good evening."
Appearing to accept that she would speak in English to the host, appearing to be rather mistrusting, "You went to a lot of trouble to find us, considering we don't wish to be disturbed I doubt you could offer anything to us. But we range from a great land where we respect people and give them a chance to explain themselves, not like the detritus of this great place." frowning she would squeeze Driselda hand and continue, "I am Tiaan and this my love and I believe the word you use is sire, as in she gave me the gift."

Her face would morph and fangs would reveal as she would smirk and suddenly appear next to the gent, "We hope you don't plan to waste our time.
Driselda hissed loudly, her eyes looking at Tiaan as if telling her to get back to her side "Tiaan...return to my side" She said in a commanding tone, not wishing to be unkind but needed to be strict

"You hunted the Hunters...now you seek our audience. Now we come...I am Driselda Lacopt...now speak. Use your tongue as our time here is precious and it shant be wasted"
A dark chuckle pierced the stillness of the forest as a thick layer of fog formed across the ground. From the far side of the clearing emerged a sliver of red. The brim of a crimson fedora came into view as a tall man stepped through a tree as if it were air. He was clad in a matching blood-red trench-coat and classic Victorian style charcoal suit, leather riding boots, and a flamboyant intricately knotted red cravat. Auburn glasses glistened from the light of the moon. White gloves wrapped his hands. Across his face was a near psychotic grin. There was an aura of confidence about him that set him apart from an average man.

"Well well..." he smirked. His voice was a mishmash of European accents. "It has been a while since I have witnessed a meeting like this. Are there no refreshments?" Alucard raised his eyebrow.
His attention flicked immediately from the two strange ones that he was there to meet, to the more familiar intruder. If it was ever possible, his face paled more than ever. Was it safe to discuss such things before a...

He spared another glance at the guy, then knocked the sense back into himself. Who was he here to meet again? Surely not mere mortals, surely not anyone that would, could let a minute problem slip into a catastroph-

Well.

Well well well. The hint of a smile pulled under gleaming eyes. A clearing of characters indeed.

"Refreshments? Is there no blood to spill?" The smile bloomed in full, as Casren tucked his hands in his pockets. Casting his grin upon the company, there he stood. Smiling. Staring. Gleaming in the moonlight.

"Shall we get to business?"
Ix Blacklight just manages to not burst out laughing when he spies the guy in red. wait business? This could prove profitable, if not interesting "Ahh Yes. Lets get down to business."
The elder vampire in red lifted an eyebrow beneath his auburn shades. His wicked grin locked into place. "Ahh... It has been a very long time, Casren. What brings you to this stretch of the world?" he asked. Alucard and Casren were old acquaintances, from the Old World and his glory era. The vampire would likely have been hardly recognizable, due to his change in garb. There was also a slight shift in his demeanor.
Growling she would shift back to Driselda side but appear very wanton of something to ear, her eyes now red and fangs still with-drawn. Her ears trying to pick up anything, as she listened she would vanish (move very quickly) to some bushes and a sound like an animal being murdered would be heard.

Within a minute or so she came back carrying a young fawn with it's neck bleeding and eyes blank now, forever dead, smirking she would sit herself down and start draining the blood speaking in elvish, blood dripping from her lips, "Driselda come, let us eat while these pompous pretenders dance their merry way, we hunger so must feed darling."
Driselda watched her lover feed and gently shook her head, her body starving for blood but she would try and curb her hunger for a moment. She hadent fed in a week "Not yet my dear...buisness must come first. You enjoy your meal and savor the blood of your prey" She said before turning to the group before her and looked at them plainly
"Ah," The smile remained, "Dracula. It's been too long. What brings me to this stretch of the world is a story for another day."

At this, Casren pivoted to turn his full attention to the women. Not so much them, as to what they had. The scent of the blood hung thick in the air, clogging his nostrils. Having had just fed a few days prior, Casren wasn't driven mad by the scent. It was a little distracting, though.

"Yes. Business." He cleared his throat, and addressed the party, including the newcomer for it was obvious he was here to stay.

"I seek your aid, that much is apparent. There is a rift, a fissure, a crack in the existence of us, here, that I wish to repair. We are not respected in this realm, on these plains. There are beasts, creatures, humans who prove to be a threat to us. Not just a threat, for what's happening is not of nature. It's not the way of things..."

At this Casren paused, and shook his head.

"I regret to inform you that we are in decline, us Vampires and other creatures of the night. Our own kind has allied with the enemy, has turned against us in the worst of ways. I'm sure you," At this he pierced his company with eyes of cinder, "Know of what incidents I speak."
Vampires? doh ho ho, this is going to be FUN! Ix's face remains still as stone. Wait, what incidents? "Ah yes those incidences. Terrible news, that.."
Still feasting on the deer she lifted her head, blood dripping from her mouth. Finally she would speak and say, "We are from Tamrial what can you offer us that we can't get ourselves? I hate Wing City and oppose the current regime, why should I involve myself in potentially political group because you fail at actually keeping so-called order. Now you come to us heart on metaphorical sleeve and speak to us like brethren my whole kind is aberration the likes you never seen, and you have the audacity, nay the disrespect to even offer us pathetic deal." she would appear once more next to him her fangs exposed and glinting, "Unless you can somehow make us wish to actually step foot in this cesspit and therefore actively take interests in your going ons."

With that she bend back down and continue to feast and the slowly exsanguiating deer.
He had offended them, that much was certain.

The complete opposite of which was supposed to happen.

Casren blinked, twice, as she appeared and returned to her feast in a whirl.

"I hate Wing City and oppose the current regime as much as any other," His voice was colder than stone, "However I fear our problems are much larger than just wing city."

I'll just let that sit there.

After a dramatic pause, which composed of a sweeping glare and an adjustment of his jaw, Casren continued dryly,

"Unless, of course, you enjoy divine humiliation."
Driselda nodded at her mate's words before looking at the group quietly and them ahemmed loudly "I agree with my dearest; this whole ideal is a foolish venture that holds almost no backbone. It is not the Humans what mock us, it is indeed our own kind. Foolish vampires who make love to Lycans...to the Night dwelling creatures claiming they can walk under the Sun's Rays with no weakness or impunity to them. How can you fight such idiocy? It is a farce I say" She said, slowly crossing her arms over her armored chest

"This Hunter is not impressed with this display in the slightest"
"A farce? Are they not," He glared directly at the strange ones, "Yours?"
"I agree..." replied Alucard. "What little of our kind I encounter possess a distinct lack of class. They kill without purpose or for the sheer thrill. It sickens me. We are monsters, yes, but not animals or savages. Immortality should be earned and not wasted on the likes of delinquents."
Casren had to hold himself from flicking an astonished gasp at Dracula. Kill for thrill? He was the connoisseur! Never mind that difference, now was not the time.

"There is a dire need for change, Madam, and you can't simply ignore this realm. Do you wish to only exist in your home?"
Ix raises an eyebrow at the well spoken man in red. "I agree with Carmen. Dumb people who live long are a bad thing." He hits the pause button on his Ipod to better hear the conversation "So, what is your plan, anyway?"
Laughing she would yell her eyes blood-red as her drenched fangs, "You have no idea what I have been through and you would claim to understand. Well enough time you saw what you claim to understand..." growling she would lift her hands and focus the power before sending an image of her people as the aberration twisted blind creatures with hate for all but themselves, the very mockery of her own race whom had created immense structures of ice spanning the entire continent of Skyrim.

"Make your move now gracious host and don't try play politics just be fucking honest and spit it out, YOU NEED US MORE THAN WE NEED YOU!"
"Of course we do. I didn't bother saying it because, well," He shrugged sheepishly, "It was obvious. Will you help us?"
Alucard chuckled darkly at Tiaan's outburst. It was the cackle of an amused madman. "Ooohhh... She's a feisty one, isn't she?"
Driselda would say nothing but simply vanish into thin air and reappear behind Tiaan and grabbed her by the neck as she growled at her "Lower your voice my love...you will attract something that this hunter is not prepared for" She said while looking at their host

"We will need to be seriously convinced if we are to offer our aid...nothing more...nothing less" She said while looking at Alucard "She is a fledgling...and not in full control of herself..."
Casren sighed, as this was turning into a predicament.

"I only wish to unite our kind, and stop the disruption. As you've noticed, the natural balance of things has shifted in our realm, and while you might not care..." He turned to Tiaan, "Elysium, surely you know this term."
"Understandable." Alucard glanced at Driselda through his shades before returning his attention to Casren. "And what of Man? What shall be our view of them?"
Ix shrugs "Unite the vampires? Sounds fun, I'm in." After a moment of consentration he opens his eyes and smiles. His eyes are bright yellow and the mouth has filled with some sizeable fangs.
"Blood," Casren continued to Driselda and Tiaan, a spark in his eyes, inspired by Ix, "Kin. Those like you, with you. On land that is yours."

Here he turned to Dracula.

"Man? They are our food, but they are also our fellows in existence. I do not come here blind, deaf, and dumb." Casren looked to Driselda, then back to Dracula. "We have been united before, under reasonable terms that are nowhere near as binding as they are facilitating."
Dots spoke up, finally, after a while. She had been quite, just listening, a bit afraid of speaking, but not terrified, just feeling a bit awkward in this conversation between old farts. "Excuse me, but..what of the newly turned vampires, from 20 years and under, or the vampires from modern times? I mean, I feel a bit left out around all you guys because you're all...no offense, but you're all old." Sighing, she'd scratch the back of her head once more, hoping she worded that right and didn't screw anything up. It'd be embarrassing if she made herself look stupid.
Alucard nodded. "Yes, they do provide our sustenance, but they still possess as much of a right to existence as ourselves. Here is my proposal... For those humans that prove to be a destruction to their own race, we put down like the rabid dogs that they are. For those humans that prove to be worthy, we grant them our gift. We are their elders, their superiors. They are but children to us - children that require guardians."
"My dear, of course there are others like you," Casren said gently to Dots, while extending his mind towards Tiaan. With a soft push, he was in her mind, in her memories of a beautiful and sprawling land lined with ice. Visions of destruction danced before his conscious.

He had it. Turning towards Triaan with a malevolent grin revealing relentless fangs, he began.

"You would abandon your own race for your own selfish desires, considering the past? Would you? Yes? Hm?"
Blinking she would stare clear fury in her eyes before lowering her head and silent crying could be heard, clearly beaten and unable to come up with anything that could be considered a reply to what was said, for it was true. So very true. And being reminded me of it had hurt her mind because she had stopped living with the pain.

Finally she would reply, "I yield... you are right... but you have no right, no right to invade my mind!" there was that theory again, that cold dark fury, but still crying quietly she would appear to be tamed.
Driselda would just glare darkly at the being infront of them as her form moved to pull Tiaan into her arm and side gently "Come Tiaan...we are leaving" She said and held her beloved close and turned to start walking away

"If these things who call themselves vampires think they can invade the minds of anyone they choose, they are completely wrong. We are going home" She said and continued to walk back towards the Forest
Shaking her head she would reply, "No my word is my honour even if they are not, I will not tread that path to keep my respect. I have to accept, please don't leave me like Kat did, please say, I must do what is right, not what I selfishly think will help things. I have to stand with my species."
Driselda would only look down at her with, now blood red eyes, obviously her anger evident as she let go of Tiaan quickly. Her fangs grew in her mouth as her hunger grew evident "You would side with those fools who invade your mind without permission? They have no honor..they are witless prey who do not deserve the Hunter's time or Presence. Now you wish for me to help these abominations? These half breeds?" She asked in obvious anger
"Ya'll can read minds?" Oh shit oh shit oh shit. he starts thinking of other things and says "Well that must be handy. Well I have to be going, How can I get in touch with you guys?"
Still clearly worried she would go on, "It's not that they aren't wrong to do what they did to me, it's not that they don't deserve our disrespect. But word of snow elf is honour and I will not break that. I am siding with my species not with them, they can go fuck themselves for all I care, but this is not about me, you, or him and well in the end we need to unite or be crushed by the likes of other more crueller species, I would rather not always be the last. I love you and truly understand your anger, but this is not a time to be divided is it darling?"
"Half-breed you say?" Alucard cackled. He suddenly vanished and appeared directly behind Driselda. The elder vampire spoke quietly into her ear. "I do not believe you know who you are dealing with..." he chuckled before eying Casren. "I will consider your proposition, but for now I must be going. Have a pleasant night, old friend." he said before melding into the shadows.
Casren let the faintest of smirks grace his face at Dracula's actions.

"We are the Castle in the Cursed Wood, just follow the fright path and you're sure to find us," he said to Ix.
The woman would vanish and move away from where Alucard was, hissing softly "I am a Daughter of Cold Harbour...the third of my kind created in my home of Tamriel...and I know not of what you are" She said to the now shadows before looking at Tiaan, red eyes still glowing darkly

"If you move to help these vermin and to uphold your honor, fine I will help. But do not expect the Hunter to aid them. Only you...and if they dare so much as ask for a drop of my prey I will rip them in two and throw them to the wolves they so precariously hunt" She said, through gritted teeth and fang

She was doing all she could not to transform and rip the group apart
Except for Tiaan, of course
Walking over she would hug her close and whisper in Elvish, "Better we try play their game, than not try and be accused of being weak. They shall pay for the blackmail I promise you, but he is desperate and if he is desperate then he give us anything we wish to keep us appeased. Remember dear I was once part of a political council I know how to fake tears, and am over the pain long ago, Kat helped..." she would pause before continuing, "I am to them mindless weak animal and that is what I will keep them thinking."

Resuming the tears she would speak in English a tremble in her voice, "We accept..."
Casren Bistreo nodded his head solemnly, pleased to hear the acceptance.
Driselda was embraced and embraced her back gently with a growl loudly at the man as she vanished in a haze of red mist as she reappeared right infront of Casren Bistreo's face, her yellow eyes glaring him hard. Her face was so close, her nose was touching his "Lets get one thing straight...I will NEVER consider you an equal. You are a blight, a parasite...a pretender and a half breed piece of scum. I help with this foolish endeavor because my lover has offered her help. You....are....not....Vampire" She said in a very harsh tone as she disappeared again and went to reappear next to her lover "You are nothing more than remnants of a once great and powerful people, MY people" She said and started towards the Forest Border once again, clearly livid
It hurt him, but he would deal with those emotions later. He had their help, and that's what he had come for.
