Description

~Name: Vasiliy Aleksandrov Finch and Stefan Finch (Vasya/Vas and Stef)
~Age: 32 and 27
~Gender: Male
~Skills: Both are experienced gunmen, but specialise in different things. Vasiliy is a sniper, whereas Stef uses an assault rifle.
Vasiliy - Despite not seeming it, Vasiliy is very well read and has far more sense than his little brother. He's a very logical thinker and rarely lets emotion get in the way.
Stef - Stef is a brilliant mechanic and general handyman; he adores fixing things and is brilliant at it. He's also highly perceptive and great at finding lost things.

~Description:

STEFAN:
Build - Lithe and gangly. Rather than full out muscular, he's sinewy and athletic. Due to his height (6'7") and long limbs, he kind of looks like he hasn't grown into his body yet. About 1/4 of his left nipple is missing. He had a friend pierce both of them with a sewing needle. Understandably, one got infected, migrated closer to the surface and then got torn out when he was pulling his shirt on. The other one is still there, however. There are quite a few scars on his hands from punching people in the face. He has quite a few scars all over his body as well, just from general fighting, tripping over things, standing on cats, etc.

Face - Normally smiling dopily. He has quite a narrow face, matching his tall gangly build. There are some freckles across the bridge of his nose. Both ears are pierced. His left ear has a snick where one of the helix piercings was pulled out. His left ear has bog standard captive bead rings, and his right ear has cone studs (the things that look like spikes). One of his teeth (a canine) is missing, as it got punched out in a bar fight. One of his front incisors on the top is chipped right through the middle, giving him a somewhat snaggle-toothed grin. They're yellowed from years of smoking. He's a bit of chainsmoker (his fingers are also nicotine stained).

Eye Color - Blue

Hair - Red mohawk, ginger at the roots. His hair is naturally ginger. Bright. As in pretty much orange. He seems to hoard bottles of dye in his truck, and keeps it red most of the time. It's also been blue, white blond and purple before. He keeps it down most of the time because he hasn't got quite enough time to gel it day to day. He has a bandanna tied around his forehead to keep it out of his eyes. Stef has some kind of crappy goatee.

Clothes - He dresses practically, being a hunter/mercenary/handyman. However, this doesn't mean he dresses well enough to protect himself. So far he's had a lot of lucky escapes, and tends to rely on being agile. He wears BDUs on duty, though. Off duty? Wifebeater, hoodie, combats, big boots, parka if it's cold. He has a respirator that he wears if it's dusty or someone is using chemical weapons. And sunglasses for when it's sunny!

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt14 ... gunman.jpg By my friend Amelia! Stef looking unusually good looking.

VASILIY:
Build - Vasiliy is more conventionally handsome than his brother. His build is a tad bulkier, and he's not as freakishly tall (a good 6'2"). His arms and legs fit his body, and he knows he looks better. He thinks hanging around his brother makes him look even better than normal, and takes advantage of this where he can. He has no piercings, but a good number of scars from fighting and miscellanious bits and bobs. His upper body is toned and he's not too heavy, but is strong with broad shoulders.

Face - As with Stefan, Vasiliy has a relatively narrow nose. However, his jaw is a bit heavier. However his face isn't heavy as such, and his features are still quite light, like Stefan's. He's also lightly freckled, but shaves every day and has no facial hair. He has a long scar which just misses his mouth and curves up, branching into two. Like a wonky letter 'y'. It ends just under his left eye and starts on the left eye of his chin. The other branch of it just crosses onto the right side of his nose. His teeth are straight, as Stef's would be if he didn't get punched in the face so many times.

Eyes - Blue.

Hair - Vasiliy's hair is cut short. If he had his way, it'd be a bit longer, but that would get in the way in fights. He's dyed it darker brown before, but now the dye has been cut out and it's back to the original colour of mid brown. When he was little, he was scared he'd have ginger hair like his mother.

Clothes - Vasya's a snappy dresser. He is good at looking casual but not messy, and off duty he can normally be found in a neat workshirt, jeans and oxblood DMs. He's well groomed, unlike Stef. On duty, he wears clothes which make it easier to hide, unlike the uniform of the regular guards. He has a spotter's binoculars as well to aid him in his work.

~Personality/Fears: See below.
~History: See Below.

Personality

Personality:

STEFAN:
Stef is a really lovely man. He's friendly, and tends to remind people of a great big silly puppy. He loves talking with people and isn't the type to hole up or keep to himself. He's pretty pleasant to have as company. Stef is generous to a fault - he'd even give away the clothes on his back to someone if they needed it. As such, he's incredibly poor. He'll forsake beds for sleeping in the back of his truck. Just as long as everyone else is happy and has what they need. It's easy to assume he's naive because of this, but he's really not. Not very smart to an extent, but certainly not naive. He's not book-smart (he can't even read or write well at all). It's to be assumed that if Stef was in the position to go to school longer he could leave a damn good mechanical engineer.

Stef tends to mix things up easily due to his limited long-term contact with people. Due to this, he'll often muddle friendship, love and sex, leading to him hitting on friends inappropriately, assuming someone who likes him enough to give him hugs and stay close loves him, etc. He's been getting better recently, but still. He's also bad with what is appropriate to do. When he's been starving in the past, he's killed and spitroasted babies and then eaten them. His logic? The parents can just make a new one. Apparently doing that to anyone over the age of 2 is wrong, though. Few people have been exposed to his cannibal tendancies, and the few that have would be less than likely to calmly tell him that you can't just eat babies.

In general, he's a very calm person. Happy, but calm. When he's wound up, his voice gains an edge and he talks quieter and lower than usual. He'll make comments about how good at target shooting it is and wouldn't it be a shame to spoil that nice rock with your blood and hadn't you better give that back to the nice man right away? He's pretty stubborn as well, and once he has hold of an issue he will not let go. Stef is also very perceptive, although it's easy to take him as an idiot.

VASILIY:
Unlike Stef, Vasya is very good socially. He's easy to talk to and get along with, and doesn't do odd things which throw people off liking him. His mother paid for him to go to a prestigious school, and so he's very well read and arguably more intelligent than his brother book-wise. The school also enabled him to socialise properly from a young age with both adults and children, and so he knows how to act appropriately. He's very polite, but can sometimes dip into passive aggressive if annoyed, and then into the downright aggressive. He's generous, like Stef, but maybe not so recklessly. He donates to homeless charities and often runs fundraisers amongst the guards. Funny, considering his job.

Despite the nearly unconditional kindness of his brother, Vasiliy can be very moody and judges easily. He judges on appearance, intelligence, demeanour, etc., and to be frank, Stefan embarasses him. He often argues with him over simple things, and whilst Stef will often stay calm and nearly treat everything as a joke, Vasya is prone to getting wound up. He hates being answered back to and also lax attitudes regarding work and learning. His temper is short, but often hidden behind a veil of politeness, hence how passive aggressive he can get.

Vasya is tenacious and hates to fail. He also hates to lose. He'll work steadily on issues or sort them out with a clean headshot. Whichever suits the situation best. He's stubborn as a mule and won't take 'no' kindly. Unfortunately, the man has a vain streak and could be considered very stuck up once you get to know him personally. From the outside, however, Vasya is polite, well-adjusted and kind.

Fears:

STEFAN:
Hates being left alone, being made to feel unwanted, and being disabled.

VASILIY:
Being rejected by the community, having everything he earned taken away from him, and deep-sea creatures.

Equipment

Stefan: Bushmaster ACR assault rifle, pistol, combat knife. Truck, mix-tape, toolbox, hair dye, cigarettes, lighter, various other bits and bobs.

Vasiliy: Sniper rifle (haven't figured which sort yet), SMG, combat knife. Car, apartment, chemistry set (for fun), computer, other stuff people have.

History

Stef and Vasya were both born in Russia to an American father (Samuel Finch) and a Russian mother (Aleksandra Finch). The two divorced when Stef was around 3, Vasiliy 8. Vasya was always a mummy's boy and decided he wanted to stay with his mum. However, Sam won custody of Stef, and ended up moving back to the US.

The two shared very different lives - Stef's father was killed a year later by gang violence, whereas Vas was sent to an expensive school. Stef was adopted by a mercenary named Lazarus Gaunt (not his real name), whereas Vas lived with his mother until age 18, where he went to university. He studied chemistry and soon joined the university rifle team. The boy was a natural, and won many medals and accolades. He ended up quitting his degree to persue shooting, which he found more enjoyable. At first, he joined the military as a sniper, but disliked the regimented feel and became a mercenary, moved to the US and got hired by the Lab... and surprise, surprise, his little brother was working there! The only communication the two'd had was the odd phonecall and cards on birthdays before then. Whereas Stefan was hopeful that he and his brother could become friends, Vasya took one look at his gangly, ginger sibling and deemed it impossible.

Stefan grew up in a much harder way. He was taught to shoot, cook, repair and other necessary life skills from an early age. He was put into school for a short while, but Gaunt found this hard to deal with as he moved around so much. In the end, Stef was 'homeschooled', but the two dodged the inspectors like crazy. Due to the nomadic lifestyle, he had trouble making friends and became rather socially awkward, but with a good self esteem and willingness to speak with others - the result was a young man who didn't realise he was being weird when he was. After Gaunt was killed in battle and wreaking revenge upon those who shot down Gaunt at his most defenseless, Stefan began to live on his own. He got a job working as a guard for the Lab, and quickly worked his way up the ranks. He's not in head of the guards, but is certainly relatively high ranked due to his skills with a gun and his agility.

Vasiliy: Gunman by Funker Vogt
Stef: Jesus Built my Hotrod by Ministry (no idea why this one. It's on his mixtape, I imagine.)

So begins...

One of the guards accompanying the sciensists and Jarek looked... awkward and unconventional, to say the least. He glanced over to the sobbing, howling wrecks in the cells with a dopey look on his face, but there was sympathy in there as well. It was hard to tell with the respirator covering the lower half of his face. He couldn't reach out to them, that'd be forbidden, but he felt deeply for the poor people in any case. The guard was aware he was pretty strange and could easily be chosen to be a test subject. He had a funny knack of being able to find lost things and know exactly when buses would come. He wasn't sure if they'd leave stuff like that alone if it got out. He really didn't fancy being turned into some half-human creature like these.

As for the blond man, the guard didn't feel good about him, not one bit. He'd heard about him torturing that one scientist through his comrades in arms, and gathered that the blood all over him wasn't his own. If he had his way, he'd come down and talk to them and try to sort their wounds as best he could. An earnest man, he'd tried asking the scientists not to hurt them so bad before, but had just been laughed at. They'd made jokes about his trouble reading. Haha, yeah, well, who was the one with the gun, and therefore the one with all the power? He didn't particularly enjoy his job here, but it paid well, he had a bunk to sleep in, it was pretty easy work, and most importantly, his brother was there.

Years separated from Vasiliy had left him yearning from attention from his older brother. Vas wasn't always... nice, but Stef was sure he would be when he got to know him, he'd be much better to him. He didn't like how Vas criticised how he was "too soft" and he didn't like how Vas called him stupid, but Stef was always very nice to him back.

He followed the two scientists, hoping he wouldn't have to go anywhere near the nasty blond man again. Something about him really made Stef want to keep well back. Metaphorically, he stank of arrogance and cruelty. Normally the man's physical ailments would have made him sympathetic, but the man seemed so awful he didn't want to have anything to do with him. He glanced to his comrades and wondered how they felt about him.

-Jarek-

Watching his master sit down, Jarek looked concerned for him. He seemed tired, and the mutant felt protective of him. He wanted to turn into his lizard form and keep close to him and help him along. He tilted his head a little and perched by Caine, watching attentively.

"Do you need anything, sir? I was simply going to ask if I would be allowed some more ammunition for my pistol. Are you okay, sir?" he asked politely.

He knew Caine wasn't weak, and he didn't want him to think he thought that. No, Jarek respected him, and so he was strong. But sometimes strong people needed help. He himself had a high pain threshold but got tired out fast.

-Vas-

The tall man with short black hair saluted when the commander spoke to him. He was tall, handsome, proud with a confident look on his face. Even though there was a long scar over his cheek, it made him look rougish. He looked with relatively disgust at the strange, hunter-like beasts. He couldn't stand bestial mutants like these. Human ones were more tolerable. He didn't really have an opinion on them, but he was always wary of the hounds. However, he enjoyed working alone, and this would be close enough.

"Yessir!" he barked, accent Russian.

He was carrying a long rifle with a high powered scope. The man was evidently a sniper, especially in the urban camo he was wearing. It'd be best to hide in the city, on rooftops, between buildings. His brother, meanwhile, was wearing plain black BDUs. He was glad they didn't team him with him - Stefan was tall and stood out and was pretty loud. He admitted the man was a good shot, but he found him annoying. He followed the hound, watching it and trailing it along.

-Stef-

Stefan's chest swelled with pride as he saw his brother chosen to go out and work alone on such an important mission. Vas was so clever and he really respected him. Sure he wasn't always nice to Stef, but he was a good soldier, and Stef wished to be like him. He was a sergeant, yes, but never worked alone. Rather, he worked with a team, and often felt the commander's eyes upon him. People knew he had trouble reading, and his snaggletoothed grin and southern drawl didn't exactly put confidence into people. He knew he was clever, cleverer than he thought. After all, they always came to him to fix stuff. He followed the commander at a steady jog. The man towered over most others there, including his big brother. He often felt awkward and gangly, but right now he didn't really mind. His thoughts were on the children who escaped. He didn't want to hurt them at all. He hated how they didn't consider the feelings of the kids, he hated how they had to be injured and go through dangerous work. If he could have, Stef would have helped them back at the lab. However, he had a secure job, could see his brother every day, and he had a bed to sleep in.

-Jarek-

He whined softly, not liking seeing Caine look so tired out, but he didn't go to support him or anything, as he wasn't asked and didn't want to make him feel bad. He just followed, ever loyal, but a little more anxious now, and was ready to turn into his lizard like form so he could be used for support. However, he seemed happy when Caine reached the top okay, and looked around, pulling on black combats when given them. As he was taking his bloodied shirt off, a banged up looking man came in and growled at his master. He stared in disbelief, quite ready to turn and tackle the other man to the ground to try and teach him some respect. He glanced back at Caine, but couldn't see if he was annoyed or not.

Still stunned, he pulled his shirt off. Jarek was skinny - you could see his ribs and the now-straightened bumps of his spine. In livid letters, a name was carved into his back. The scar was heavy, but pretty old: G KOWALSKI. His original owner, the one who trained him, was Polish - hence Jarek's name and accent. Gabriel Kowalski. He was dead now, died in a carcrash, and Jarek'd mourned hopelessly for weeks, until his next owner had come along. Another name was carved on his side - L SONDHEIM. Lucas Sondheim, his next owner until he'd left. To be fair, Jarek never liked Lucas. The man didn't command respect. He'd ask if Caine wanted to cut his name into him later. He pulled on a black shirt and jacket, holstering his gun at his thigh and looking around for some ammunition. He took the 9mm bullets off of a girl and put them in a large pocket on his new jacket.

He trotted after Caine and glanced at this other mutant, still pretty mad that he'd growled at Caine.

"Hello," he said politely.

-Vas-
Vas followed the hound, keeping up with its pace with relative ease. He cocked an eyebrow when he saw what looked like a arm in the middle of the road. Curious. He assumed this was something to do with a powerful mutant - there was no collapsed body near by. Following the blood trail with his eyes, he spotted a large silhouette on the side of a building. The man grinned and slipped into the darkness, loading his gun. Definitely a mutant.

-Jarek-

The smile grew terser when Camelion didn't respond. He definitely was not relishing the idea of having to work alongside this man. In the past, he'd worked alone. He didn't need some child too sulky to reply getting under his feet. He grinned, saccharine. It was too wide, exposing all his small, sharp teeth in a crocodillian smile. No doubt he could work the crocodile tears as well, if needed. Or at least whine and milk sympathy efficiently. He put his long hair up in a ponytail and saw this Camelion fellow open the door for Caine. Jealousy writhed in his chest and he almost growled. His smile faltered, lip twitched and he stared.

"It's nice to meet you," he tried.

His voice was calm, gentle as ever, despite how internally irate he was. He clambered in the van, glancing at the half-frozen seat, and watched Caine with care and worry. Although he wanted to ask if he was okay, he stayed silent, lest he annoy him.

-Stef-

Stef hungered for a cigarette. He stuck a hand in his pocket and pulled his battered zippo lighter out, fiddling around with it. He couldn't smoke now or on the mission, but he was used to smoking one after another. His fingers were stained yellow and brown in places, as were his teeth, and his breath was perpetually disgusting. Poor man didn't have a lot going for him. He followed the commander, mind on other things, like the mission. No nerves crippled him - although he'd be up against mutants and possibly other armed people, he wasn't scared, per say. The man didn't mind death. He didn't enjoy the prospect of it, but he didn't exactly fear it, especially when he was full of adrenaline. What was on his mind, however, was how he wasn't smoking at that precise moment.

The strongest wails and cries from the monster had stopped, but low hisses, groans and bellows could still be heard if payed enough attention on the quiet streets.
One of the tri-fingered hands was rubbing and scratching the reddened, delicate skin of the remaining limb as if expecting to find the rest of the arm there, just painfully numb.
They squirmed and twisted against the rough texture of the wall as their arachnid legs continued to push Splitface's weight upwards with slight difficulty.
Every part of each of the bodies was shaking and trembling with cold, their bared teeth clinking when they weren't parted to make way for more brutish complaints and snorts of tire that was dazing their sight and weakening their senses.

They hadn't heard, felt or smelled neither the hound or the stalker's scent with the foul stench of iron burning inside each of their nostrils, present more strongly than any other.
The beast's claws were spread apart, far too useless on their current angle, as was the sting; low and releasing a small drop of the venom they clumsily injected on the civilian from before.

Admittedly, what Splitface would've done if he had truly detected their presence was next to nothing but hiss and snarl. He was weak because of the blood loss and because his bones and deformed, fusioned muscles ached horribly from the crash and felt as if they were constantly twitching or crawling under their skin.
What made it worse was the very strong vertigo the accident caused that consequentially blurred their already bad vision.
Thus, they were blind. And the right head, the first one to stamp against the car, seemed to be partially dazed; it was slightly leaned backwards -at least until the flexibility of their skin and face muscles would allow-, with its naked teeth parted, and strings of drool were escaping between the tiny gaps of the sharp, crooked lower teeth.

With their state of reasoning, the opposite head, of course, didn't take notice of anything further than the insensitivity of fragments and large zones across their chest and carapaced abdomen, along with the icy cold feeling of the exposed flesh of the torn-off arm against the breeze.

-Jarek-

Badly veiled irritability... interesting... he thought, offering a tighter lipped smile instead of exposing his sharp little teeth. He was used to people showing disapproval of them, it wasn't odd. They were oddly white and even, which didn't help. However, the thin white lines criss-crossing his lips often unnerved people as well. He gave the 'pretty ladies' bit a thought. Jarek didn't care for gender - he only cared if the people he was sleeping with were terrified of him, injured, dying or dead. Of course, his superiors fit there somewhere. In fact, he'd definitely rather they weren't injured. Jarek's mind was twisted, although it was pretty clear he'd been that way from a young age, rather than it having anything to do with his mutation.

"Knives, tools, broken glass, hallucinogens, my teeth and claws... anything that comes to hand. I'm very creative."

He watched, curious, as his new 'team mate' transformed.

-Vas-

With his spotters binoculars, Vas peered. He nearly recoiled with horror upon seeing the creature on the side of the house. He'd never seen anything like it before. Ducking down in the shade, but from a position he could easily fire from, he set his rifle up. The gun was huge and powerful, but obviously slow-firing. He carried a submachinegun for close-quarters combat, but he wasn't sure if that would do as much damage against this monstrosity. When his boss said all about those dangerous mutants roaming in public and possibly harming civilians, he assumed he'd meant children. Most of them were children, after all. Unlike his brother, he didn't feel such pathetic sympathy. He was a killer, and so he killed.

Raising his binoculars to his eyes once more, he got another look at the scorpion-like mutant and his upper lip curled in disgust. He thought the hunters were bad enough, but this was gross beyond all belief. He lowered the binoculars and peered through his scope instead. He didn't know quite where to aim, but decided on the dopier looking head and carefully aimed, and lightly pulled the trigger. The man swore as the bullet missed as a gust of wind whipped up and growled, trying to retreat into the shadows. The bullet slammed into the wall of the house instead, bringing up shards of concrete and debris.

The sudden blast right next to the right head had scared the monster beyond belief. He felt his stomach raise to his throat as each head screamed and rolled their dark eyes as panic overwhelmed them.
They tried to climb the rest of the wall hastily, but with their awful vertigo, the only thing the scorpion managed to do was lose his balance and fall flatly on the floor with a nearly hollow sounding thud.

The experiment quickly picked himself up, swaying slightly as he did so, and his heads shook in an attempt to recover at least a part of their vision. Once again, the sting perked over their body and their huge claws opened, defensive and extremely confused.
Their heavy breathing had turned into panting, and the sounds were fiendish and grotesque. Splitface himself was horribly agitated and very dizzy, the latter being a stranger feeling to the mutant.
He could hardly feel his front right shoulder, and the dim yellow lights from the street seemed to simply dance with the nausea-inducing panorama. The color had drained from their visible skin, making it seem practically white under the current dark light, but as long as he wasn't spilling his guts out through his mouth yet, he'd persevere.

Still, he couldn't see or smell. The arachnid turned his heads about and stridulated; issuing grunts and low-pitched rumbles along with the noisy hisses.
He just needed a motion. The smallest move from his assaulter would give him his position and he wouldn't be as blind. The brush of a body-part or the scratch of an object against the asphalt, even the sound of a loud enough breath would be just what he needed!

-Stef-

Stef pulled the jacket and bulletproof vest off, wearing a green t-shirt underneath. He yanked a baggy sweater on over that, yelping when it caught one of his ear piercings. The combats and boots, he kept on. It wasn't so unsual to see someone dressed like that. The man looked at his rifle sadly, not wanting to leave it there. Usually it went wherever he did, and for a moment, he wished he'd taken his big old toolbox along so he could have hidden it in there and claimed to be a repairman. But at the moment, he was a counsellor. He looked the right kind of scruffy for that with his half dyed hair and piercings. It'd make the claim easy to believe.

Still lamenting his rifle, he slid the handgun he carried around with him in the waistband of his combats. The baggy clothes would conceal that, and it helped that he tended to walk naturally slumped in civillian clothes, so as not to scare people by being tall at them. This whole situation still made guilt sit heavy in his stomach, and Stef felt worse and worse for the children he'd help capture. He wished he could be more like his brother in that respect - focused on the job rather than morals and ethics. He headed inside, smiled at the receptionist, signed in (his handwriting was wonky as anything, and the man was cursed with the plague of '∃', it seemed. "ST∃FAN FINCH - KAWNSL∃R"). He grinned dopily and apologised for his spelling when the woman corrected it. With directions to the childrens' ward, he headed up there, humming to himself.

A man came up to him and asked for his driver's license. He smiled, until the man got to the criminal bit. Well, that was unfair. Still, he found his wallet, pulled it out, and handed it over with a friendly grin.

"Here y'go, sir! I ain't a criminal, though. 'S a bit rude of you to say and all, but you take a look."

-Vas-

Although the shot missed, Vas grinned when the creature fell, presumably through shock. However, he was impressed when it could back up. To be truthful, the pincers and stinger scared him a little. He'd never had experience fighting giant bug men before, but he was sure he could handle it. The noises the injured scorpion-men made unsettled him to say the least and he retreated a step back into the shadows.

As he drew near, Vas wasn't surprised it couldn't see him. He knew he was well hidden in the dark. But, more fool him, he drew his submachinegun, not realising the movement would make him detectable. He clicked off the safety - surely the sound wouldn't help? - and checked the thing was loaded before grinning smugly and waiting for the right moment to aim and fire.

-Jarek-

Jarek watched Camelion with his head tilted. He quickly realised the man's new form was meant to be a younger version of Caine. He wasn't sure what to make of that, and the primal, servile base of his brain was incredibly confused. There were two masters, now. One looked ill, but was the proper one. Or was he? And now there was a much younger, more handsome, stronger one, but that one was fake! What was going on? He looked between them a few times, and then let out an animal whine, holding his head in his hands. His more human logic was attempting to reason with the bestial part of his brain, to no avail. His drive to serve seemed to be more powerful than his cold intelligence, and so he remained confused. If there had been enough room, he'd have turned into his creature form through sheer bewilderment. As it was, he looked at Camelion and shuffled closer to him, head spinning.

"D'you need anything, sir?"

His voice contained notes of panic and strain it didn't normally, and his accent was thicker than ever. Not to mention the hiss that came out. He then glanced to the real Caine and whimpered.

"Do you, sir?"

At last, they felt a vibration. Dim, and gentle, but enough to make the monster's heads jerk back to the source as their chelicerae ceased to rub against each other and left behind only the gutural pants that vibrated on the two throats. Then, when they heard the click, the heads gave a gurgling roar as they immediately charged, blindly, towards whatever had been unfortunate enough to catch their attention.

The massive claws lowered until they almost scraped against the cement, but suddenly their legs tangled with something soft but sturdy on the floor they did not detect; the unconscious hound, which hadn't moved.
Although they didn't fall -yet had been close to doing so-, their weight's unstable balance dangled as they frustratingly tried to stop stepping on their obstacle just enough so their pinces could immediately catch and begin to viciously squeeze the creature, who didn't seem to be putting up much resistance despite the force being applied to it. The lack of a struggle kept the experiment tail at bay, merely curled, but the warmth the body still had didn't give him any confirmation that it was already dead.

In fact, Splitface thought that the responsible for that mishap on the house was this thing's fault, naïvely so, since they were and would remain ignorant of the human's presence least he moved again. Although this time, the arachnid was dangerously close enough to detect even the smallest of motions.
Meanwhile though, they still attempted to punish the creature they held, trying to bend it or simply apply more strength to their ruthless grip.
The cracks would be the announcement of the monster's success, and after that, they'd finally devour their misfortunate new prey.

The man went back to holding his head in his hands, whimpering in confusion and trying to reason with himself at the same time. His head was beginning to ache now from squeezing his eyes tight shut and raking his wonky fingers repeatedly through his hair. He didn't like how other Caine - impostor - Camelion was talking to him at all, and his lip subconsciously curled. Still shaking and bewildered, he started to relax when real Caine was speaking but it was hard to pay attention when part of his head wanted to do what one person said, and the other wanted to do what another said and it felt like he was internally arguing with himself. He wasn't of course, but he felt like he was being pushed one way or the other, and confused thoughts rushed through his head.

And then he heard Camelion snarl at Caine. That was enough for his brain to make some sense of the situation and he growled, low and rumbling like a furious dog before whipping his knife out and levelling the tip with Camelion's stomach.

"Did you just snarl at him?" he asked steadily now, staring.

-Vas-

The man staggered back when nearly attacked, surprised with the speed the creature could move. It was a stroke of luck the hound tripped them, and Vas leant back against a wall, panting and gripping his SMG with conviction. Swallowing, he squared his jaw and prepared to fire again. If only he hadn't missed with his shot from the sniper rifle, which lay back on the ground near the hound, useless. It would have been no good in close quarters anyway. Vas was nearly at the back of the alley and shuddered to imagine it being him between the wall and creature.

As he backed up, however, he knocked into an old fire escape. Not considering how arachnids could scale walls he relaxed a little, ready to clamber up there as fast as he could if he failed again. He'd never encountered anything like this before, and felt almost detatched from the situation, as if he was playing a video game. He aimed and fired. The gun was innacurate, especially at this distance, but spat out bullets fast and hard towards the mutant. Some slammed into the ground, caushing chips of asphalt to fly up, others grazed the walls of the narrow alley. He hoped enough would hit the beast to disable it.

He quickly reloaded and scrambled up the fire escape. The metap steps creaked under his weight and he swore in Russian, cursing his own stupidity and lack of planning.

Diverted from their task by new near-by motions, the insect-mutant turned about again. Though, this time, the vibrations were stronger, detectable and constant, giving the siameses the orientation they needed.
Hissing, their claws let go of the broken, wriggly body of the hound and the monster turned to face the human, straightened the torsos again and slowly stalked towards him. With horrible blasts, a shot of adrenaline coursed up their crooked spines, and without any thought -for they didn't know the damage the gun could manage on them- they rushed towards the man again, howling.
They ignored the chips of cement that jumped against their arachnid feet, as they didn't do anything notably alarming. But the sound from the gun was horribly loud for their sensitive ears, and this only angered the beast further.

Painful stings bit at their torsos where some of the bullets grazed, splashing nearly brown colored blood on the floor and walls in the same way the brick and asphalt had splintered; the force the lead pierced with even pushed their left pair of shoulders as the small objects dug themselves into their clavicle and even their malformed obliques, snatching another multi-pitched scream from the fused siamese's throats.

The monster swung his large pincers at the human, grabbing nothing but dust as they stamped against the brick wall of the building when the man raced up to the fire escape.
They tried to slash at the man with their hands, but they only thing they truly managed to do was cause the staircase's metal to rattle at their useless hits.
But they didn't linger too much on the ground the once the man was little over their heads on the fire escape.

Lining their torsos against the wall, their hairy legs lifted against it and he climbed upwards as fast as Splitface could manage without falling again.
The heads glared at the human as they began their ascent, the disgusting skin stretching as they tried to look at him with all their three pairs of eyes, seeing little more than shallow outlines now that the vertigo had lessened.
Their sting flung against the man, trying to hit him between the metal rails and even through the holes between each step, even if the sting was too large to fit on the latter's gaps.

'Boy'? Jarek was sure he was older than Camelion, and chuckled inside. Thirty six wasn't old, but it certainly wasn't young either. He definitely didn't like his attitude to Caine, however, and still growled lowly. There was a highly obvious threatening undertone. He didn't like being touched either, and so snarled loudly. Prickly. As soon as the man started talking, Jarek snorted, derisive.

"Oh, sorry, allow me to bow down to king of bullshitting," he snapped, voice laced with vitriol and a near hiss.

Jarek hated people who got so high and mighty. As he saw it, they were pathetic, having to reassure themselves of their abilities or intelligence or good looks constantly. His politeness might have seemed weak, but it showed the man exuded confidence. He had no need to act rude and bother other people, because he was sure of himself.

"Yes, yes, I get it, you're fantastic in every way. Now shut up. And don't dare growl at master."

His last words dwindled as Caine admonished both of them, but mainly the other mutant, it seemed to Jarek. He felt elated when he learnt his new master was proud of him and quickly thanked him, rubbing his arm where Camelion had grabbed it, yet beaming happily. Then, when they arrived, he waited patiently for orders, sheathing his knife once more.

-Vas-

The man wasn't as agile as his lither brother and had trouble twisting and turning to avoid being hit by the two-faced creature. Panic welled inside him as he was almost clasped in his huge pincers and he raced faster up the rusted steps of the fire escape. It hadn't shrugged off the hits entirely, but it didn't do as much damage as Vasiliy would have liked. The man landed awkwardly on one foot and winced as pain shot through his ankle. It felt twisted, not sprained, and he struggled to carry on with it. Nearly at the landing, he staggered and slammed into the railing.

An ominous creak filled the air as the staircase twisted away from the wall, Vas clinging desperately to it and his gun. His damn foot felt aflame, and he tried to shoot at the mutant once more, but missed as the staircase wobbled and whined further. He was screwed.

Kyra
Kyra was in her human form. She had slipped her human face on when she left the forest trailing a scent coming from a mutant. She had smelt Sabrie and Kinarie a mile away so of course she had changed her route to avoid running into them and had found this new scent. It smelt... Insect-like? It didn't smell like a normal human either. It just didn't smell right, but it was a mutant and her mission was to destroy all mutants right? So she just went along with the scent trail hoping she'd get to sink her claws into some flesh soon.

Kyra stuck to the shadows doing her absolute best to stay out of sight. It was easy mostly because the humans didn't bother to really look in the shadows for they held no intrest in seeing someone... wait.... no, something that was different. More then they are. More powerful. More everything. Her blue eyes fleshing green for a moment when she smelt a familiar but somewhat unfamiliar scent. Within a second, her eyes were blue again as she crossed a street and turned to her right to see the mutant. It was a giant... Spider? She blinked once, then twice and finally got it into her head that it was some sort of bug with a human face. It was hanging onto a metal stair case with a normal human hanging on somewhat above it. She bit back the need to shift in the middle of the day. The humans weren't that stupid and would notice a bigger then average tiger running around in their town.

Kyra pushed the feeling back a bit as she rushed forward then leaped onto the railing unaware of its unstable condition. Climbing on the outside of the railing, she went up going as fast as she dared to. The metal didn't feel right in her hands but she was part cat so she was a good climber on most surfaces. The thought of shifting was so close but what good would it do her if she had paws and a tail instead of the hands she needed? Muttering some very bad words she didn't know she knew about she quickly passed the human faced bug and jumped onto the stairs in front of the human. Growling and her blue eyes turning golden she grabbed his forearm and practically carried him up the stairs. She was too busy to see her nails become claws and her normal human teeth turning into some very sharp fangs but she dragged the human away from the bug creature.

The scorpion siameses turned over the wall, slanting their angle to face the human, though their legs were still somewhat shaky and prune to fail if they did one wrong move. The only exposed chest rose and fell along with the heavy, interrupted breathing from the heads; the left side, even with the black carapace, bled as did the naked skin on their shoulders and near their trapezius.

The beast was exhausted and losing his breath quicker by the second. The nausea had gotten worse, as had their light-headedness. Both the creak from the staircase and the gunshot made them snap just like a whip did on a wild horse, and they rushed to try and ambush the human only to receive a nasty hit against their faces when the fire escape suddenly started to twist and detach from the wall, and as they were trying to reach for the man with their pincers, one of them got helplessly stuck between the gaps on the rails.
To no effect, the experiment tried to pull it back and free his limb from the metal balusters, growing more desperate as the hard carapace clanged against the rusty metal of the fire escape.

Splitface was so worried about both catching the human and his freeing his trapped pincer, that the arrival of a completely random girl caught them, obviously, off-guard.
She was trying to steal THEIR prey?! Shameless! Dishonorable!
They would not let her!

With a horrible snarl, the beast slashed his two, bloodstained left arms at the man, just brushing at his foot with an abnormally long forefinger before the stranger snatched him away from them. Enraged, the siameses' fusioned faces distorted further the more upset they became, and their disgusting small mouthparts were already poking out from between their human teeth and peeking out of their melded lips.
In a fit of mindless anger, the claw's movements became more violent as the mutant tried turn it over and over, yet as this didn't work, the rest of the arachnids long dark body hung itself from bellow the metal step, arms hooked around the bars to allow them to pull with more force without being in a direct diagonal line.

In a response to the darting of the bipeds above, and the added weight of the large monster a few feet bellow, the set of old stairs, already rusty and weak, grated more loudly as its very foundations snapped away from the brick-made wall, faster, with each passing second; it would resist them no further, now.

Vas flailed in surprise when a girl suddenly grabbed him and pulled away from her grasp, snarling in Russian. The hell was she doing? She was making the whole situation worse! The stairs creaked further, and Vas clinged deperately to the rails, but it was no use scrambling to the top, even! The whole thing was loose and would crash down at any moment.

"What are you doing, you idiot girl? You'll kill us both!" he snapped, panic running wild in his blue eyes.

He went to punch the girl in the face, although his aim was awkward from trying to keep his balance enough to try and land safely when the construction did inevitably collapse on the man, and two mutants. The thing screeched awfully as it finally pulled back from the wall, rusty struts breaking in areas, and fell. There was no time for the Russian sniper to prepare himself and jump, or even try to land safely. A sharp piece of metal raked his side deep, and his head slammed against the floor. Vasiliy's arm lay at an awkward angle, white bone protruding sickeningly through flesh, and he lay unconsious and unmoving. His submachinegun had fallen from his hand and he looked pale and grey as a dead fish.

-Jarek-

Making a point to completely ignore Camelion and his arrogant attitude, Jarek just listened carefully to Caine. He smiled and nodded.

"Yes, sir."

He skulked off into an unused corridor and slipped between this plane and whatever it was that allowed him to become a huge reptile. The figure of Jarek flickered and disappeared - the man was all but invisible, unless someone walked into him or heard him. He slid silently down a corridor, still human-formed but unseen. Using his common sense, he went to find the boys he'd been assigned to get.

Kyra was trying to get them to the top so they could jump off with little chance of getting hurt, but the human wouldn't let her pull him. She snarled at him before the stairs could fully land on the ground, "You stupid human!" Then with those last word she jumped off the railing heading toward the incoming ground. The stairs were falling ready to crush, but she landed on her then rolled forward avoiding the falling stairs. She heard the loud groaning sound that came from the still shaking peice of metal. Growling she got to her feet with only a few scraps and bruises that were already fading then searched the fallen wreckage for Vas.

Kyra found him after a minute of standing around and smelling the air. She moved around the wreckage to get closer then finally got sight of his broken limb. Making a sound that sounded like a sneeze, she lifted the metal stairs a little and dragged him out from underneath the peice of metal. "Oh, I don't even know why I'm saving your mangy hide." She could heal him later while taking him away from here, but right now he needed to be healed and the big creature had to be dealt with.

Kyra bit the inside of her wrist watched as the blood practically poured out. Using her left hand she opened his mouth then stuffed her wrist inside his mouth. She watched and waited. The bone was going to take a few hours to heal but she was going to quicken that up. When her wrist stopped bleeding she pushed his bone back into place. Then reopening her bitemark on her wrist she put it back in his mouth. The skin healed around the wound but she would probably have to give him another dosage later for the bone to entirely heal.

Kyra stood then dragged him farther away from the where the bug was.

Little was what the failed mutant could've done to avoid the fall. The flailing of their three hands against the rail's iron bars had eventually bent it enough to remove their black claw, but when they turned their eyes, the only thing they saw was a glimpse of the reddish rust from the staircase as their back stamped harshly against the floor and on top of them, fell large and heavy fragments of the destroyed old fire escape.

The metal had trapped them where they lay sprawled; the large scorpion half caught under the ruins, technically imprisoned by the fallen handrail and supports as the human one was being squeezed between the floor and the heavy metal that scratched against their veiny, exposed skin. Their remaining three arms were either folded under their twisted torso, or under more debris; though the fragment of a right arm had stopped bleeding, and a gruesome, thick dark red crust of dried blood covered the bicep in place of the wound and exposed bone.

A low whine escaped the double-faced beast as when their eyes opened, the blurry images they were taking in spun and dazed them uncontrollably.
With a disgusting gurgle and violent contractions of their only visible abdomen, the right face of the monster curled his lips as it coughed violently, and finally opened his mouth to throw out a yellowish brown liquid, viscous and sticky; bile from their empty stomachs.
With the little energy they had left, they tried in vain to crawl out and push themselves with their fit arms, only to feel the pain of the fall and their bullet wounds biting into their nerves.

The heads settled over the cement floor with excessive exhaustion, eyelids hooding the siamese's dark-colored eyes even as they insisted on glaring holes on the female's head; resenting her idiotic intrusion deeply.
But the bittersweet unconsciousness was already dragging them, forcing them to give up their futile grip on their dimmed senses and in the horrible pain that plagued each nerve, bone and carapaced muscle the conjoined siameses had.

Soon, each of the face's expression of burning wrath and agony softened while the several pairs of eyes closed, the damp sounds dulled and the brute's legs, tail and claws dropped along with their hefty weight.
And there they stayed, immobile and hurt. Back to where they started; between urban remnants and wreckage.

Kyra

Kyra growled uncercaintly. She had 'rescued' a human but he was hurt and unconcious. She needed to get back to the insect bug to see if it was still there or not, but she didn't know what to do. She had dragged him about a block away from the scene of the fallen emergency stairs. They were now in an alley with Vasily on the ground facing up and she couldn't help but notice that there was two dumpsters in the alley with them. She looked down at Vasily then glanced at one of the dumpsters. She could try putting him in there until she was down investigating the scene of the crime. I'm such an idiot! She thought to herself as she cursed before starting to pace again.

Why wasn't he waking up! Kyra thoughts were tangled and it was bad enough she felt lost but to be confused about whether or not to make sure a human is alive? A normal human? She should have left him behind on the stairs and waited for the bug creature to consume him! That would have been alot easier, she thought. Then without knowing she said it outloud she spoke, "That would have been a hell lot easier." Making a noise that was a mix between a growl and hmrumpf she looked down at Vasily. She couldn't help it.

"Wake up. Normal human. Wake up! Hey? Wake up sleephead..." Kyra wrinkled her nose as she realized she has spoken a new word. Sleepyhead. Shaking her head she got back to the task on hand. Sighing, she just angled Vasily's face pointing exactly then... Using her human hand that had now claws right now, she slapped him. It wasn't a jaw shattering slap but more like one that was meant to stun or shock. "Hey! Wake up!"

Kyra
Kyra growled angrily. Why wasn't the human waking up!? She slapped him, but he's still unconsious. What did she have to do? Slap him harder? Drool on him? She froze, kneeling over Vas, she decided to slap him again and if he didn't wake, then it would be his fault she drooled on him. He couldn't blame her then, could he? Ack, so many qustions and thoughts were forming in her head. It was becoming very annoying. Moving his head back into the correct position, which was just facing straight up she snickered silently, then she slapped him again. Although she did use a bit more force then before.

Kyra sighed, and waited... and waited... and waited... "Oh, come on!" She practically roared the words out. "Wake the hell up!" She shut her mouth with a snap thinking Vas would wake, but when he didn't.... She scooted a bit closer then opened her mouth over Vas's face then.... The saliva hung from her lips dangling just above Vas's cheek... Almost about to fall and land with a splat on his cheek...

Jarek peered out of the window of the van he was in, whining constantly and lowly, wanting to be near Caine. He didn't like the look of this sudden swarn of police officers and kept a close eye on them. It seemed, however, that his master had some kind of plan, so he relaxed a little. Envy bubbled inside of him when he realised that Camelion was closer to Caine and possibly more useful to him. With a keening noise, he ran his fingers through his hair and slumped in his seat, shooting at glare at the two unconscious boys. Maybe he should have stayed at the Lab, after all. He never liked his second owner, but he missed Kowalski. He'd pined hopelessly for months after he'd died even when he should have been working efficiently. Truth be told, he still missed Gabriel Kowalski and mourned the loss of his master. The man had taught him to read and write, speak properly, let him study and become intelligent, trained him in torture... everything. And he'd died in a carcrash when Jarek was 21. He blamed himself, even though his rational side knew there was no way to prevent a carcrash.

But right now, he felt wretchedly lonely and inadequate. It wasn't a feeling the man was used to. He was letting his mind rush ahead of him. Truthfully, it was strange for him to experience any strong emotions at all. He might have seemed gleeful at times, but what counted as ecstatic for him was simple happiness for another. It wasn't something he could help, as such, just a symptom of sociopathy. Despite his sociopathic human mind, the strange servile urges of his bestial mind added another depth to his emotions. Although he did not feel sympathy (and was completely unable to empathise), he was able to be loyal and certainly understood fealty. He was sure it was his mutant side that was forcing these feelings of defectiveness upon him. He'd just have to work hard and offer himself up for other jobs, maybe translation. He'd bet that Camelion wouldn't be able to speak Polish, Russian, Arabic, French and Urdu. In his free time, Jarek sat with his nose in language books, mainly. He'd spent time speaking to the foreign mutants and workers at the Lab as well, and it'd paid off. He was only fluent in three (including English), but he realised it was a useful skill which was often in demand.

-Vasiliy-

A sudden pain swept through the man's head and his eyes flicked open. The intense flare that spread through his arm when he tried to move it was unbearable and he gritted his teeth and let out a moan of pain. Carefully looking over (even his eyes hurt), he saw bright white bone piercing flesh and felt sick to the pit of his stomach. And the girl was leant over him. The damn girl.

"You," he hissed. "You ruined my fucking arm as well as everything else?"

His eyes were bloodshot, skin pallid and greying. He attempted to sit, but let out another hopeless groan. His head throbbed relentlessly and he swore in his mother tongue. He prayed he hadn't fractured his skull.

"Why haven't you called a goddamn ambulance, you idiot? Here, use my phone."

With his good hand he groped around in his jacket pocket for his mobile phone, hand shaking as he turned it on. Thank fuck it wasn't broken. His head swam as he peered at the keypad and he tossed the phone towards Kyra. Trying to relax once more, he sighed and closed his eyes. He supposed, however, that he ought to ask after the girl's condition.

"You aren't hurt, are you?"

-Sergei-

Sergei sighed as the commanding guard rushed past with no regard for him. The short man glowered and folded his arms, sniffing haughtily. He'd make his own way to wherever they were going, and if their employers didn't want him, he'd have to sort something else instead. Turning tail, he strode off with a determined and yet somewhat wounded air. The carpark was swarming with people now and he sighed irritably. However, the copper scent of blood filled his sensitive nose and he sniffed appreciatively, turning to find the source. A young man. Now this was interesting... his eye was mechanical. He'd seen some things like this before, but not staggering around, lost. One of his creator's workmates had augmentations and bio-mechanics, but he was nothing like this.

He headed over to the young man, stomach growling hungrily.

"You'll get in trouble walking around here looking like that," he said softly, standing behind him. "I can help you out if you do me a favour, though, I'm hungry."
