The Grand King has died, in his Western Castle of Valorn. The steward has called upon the King of the North, King of the South, and King of the East. A new king of the west has been appointed, and now they must discuss and decide who is most qualified. A council of all 4 kings, as well as the High Priest Sargoth, have been called to council to who will be the next high king.

There are the 4 kingdoms, plus the Sacred Temple.

Many people wish the royal families dead and fractured. The kings are trying to feed their and their nations interests.

There are assassins, raiders, spies, infiltrators, kidnappers, and the creatures of the dark. As long as there is no one with the Grand Crown, the magic seal on it will not activate. Which means it is possible to initiate Eternal Darkness.

But, you know, no worries.

Additionally, some people are born with a Spirit of an Animal. This animal spirit is like a guardian, and influences a way someone develops their personality, and even slightly in their abilities. The spirit of the wolf is prone to intense loyalty bonds, such as brothers, and fierceness, strength, and such. it would also increase your senses, and give you night vision. The raven would make you prone to intellect and wisdom, and would probably make you a better jumper.

Between all the deciding, the kings use this to try and keep down tensions and acquire territory as well. This never goes quickly, and can sometimes take months. Usually 2 weeks, at the very least, for the ceremony, if they somehow resolved it in a few hours.
