Yuuki Shiro

Yuuki sat by the window in her bedroom. It was a cold winter's day, she could hear the snow lightly fall, the subtle crunch of an animal tottering by, the chill from the frosted glass. She wished she could see it. It must have been beautiful.

"Skin as white as snow...."

Her father used to say before he died, leaving her with her wretched mother.

Yuuki sat up on her knees, raising a slender finger to the glass.

"Yuuki." She said with a small smile, writting her name in Kanji on the window's glass.

Soon, the door of her room opened and a Keeper entered the room. It was a large man, he wore the typical white slacks and shirt that all orderly's wore but added with the sedative filled syringes, tazers and batons that were only issused to Keepers. Keepers 'kept' the patients from going out of control. Or that's what they were supposed to think.

Yuuki didn't think too much on it. She's never been on the negative side of the Keepers before. She was well behaved, expect for when she became very cross with the Doctor. She kept saying that her friends weren't her friends. Yuuki didn't like that at all.

"Come on, Yuuki. Time for breakfast."


"Hai!" Yuuki said climbing down off of her bed. She adjusted her standard pale brown dress with the loose slacks underneath. Yuuki was a pale, lithely little thing, all of her clothes looked much to big for her and the brown outfit coupled with her midnight black hair and dark eyes were a stark contrast to her pale skin. She slipped on her shoes and scurried toward the Keeper.
Keeper John.

He was a nice man, large, with brown skin and a deep bellowing voice. He was considerably nicer then most. Alot of the Keepers were bullies,.
Despite they weren't allowed too much personal interaction with the patients, Many Keepers gave the girls certain looks that made Yuuki uncomfortable.

"Keeper John, what is for the breakfast?" Yuuki asked, her English was becoming better but it was evident she was still used to speaking her native tongue.

"Oatmeal with sliced apples." Keeper John said softly as they walked out into the common area where alot of the patients began to gather.

Yuuki frowned sadly

"I don't like apples..."

Greta Elle Hopper

I ran away today, ran from that place ran away

Greta stared down at her food and her stomach growled in yearning. She licked her chops but remained still otherwise. She felt one of the Keepers, the one she particularly hated whom was quick to draw a syringe on her, eyes on her. She snapped her neck to look at him and glared fiercely. Her returned the look and grunted as he gestured toward the food infront of her.

Eat.

I don't eat until my brother gets here, sir. You know that better than anyone else

. She smiled as she stared at the scar on his neck which she had put there with a fork when he tried to force feed her like an infant, needless to say Keeper Mark had never tried that again.

Greta glared at him and grabbed for the fork stabbing it into the table, never taking her eyes off him. He frowned deeply and put a hand on the biggest syringe that he had kept in his belt but Greta could see the fear in his eyes. Then Yuuki walked in and Greta lowered her stance and only smirked at the Keeper Mark who glared back in anger and confusion, his hand still on the syringe.

Why so jumpy sir? I was only sharpening my fork for when I eat.

Then adjusted her ugly blue jumper and flipped her pale blonde hair to shade her face from him. She yanked the fork from the table. She turned back to him then.

I'm very hungry and I tire of your games, go send for my brother the doctor will just have to do the little experiment some other day.

Keeper Mark only hesitated a moment before whispering something to the only Female Keeper on duty. Greta frowned as she walked out the door, she didn't much trust women these days but she allowed it because she would get her brother or else.


Henry Sal Hopper
Save me, Save me from the nothing I've become


Henry opened his yes and found himself staring out into an abyss of white falling snow. He smiled a bit then closed his eyes again when he realized what had woke him up. He jumped out of bed and slammed his back against the wall. The woman Keeper smiled at him in amusement. Henry frowned deeply at her then he scanned over her to make sure it wasn't some facade and she was really a witch come for him when he was done he realized there wasn't a single trace of magic on her.

Henry, it's time to wake up and go to breakfast

You told me that I would be eating breakfast later than normal for my conditioning.

Henry said with suspicion. It wasn't that he didn't want to go to breakfast with his sister, in fact he felt more comfortable if he did, but he did not know whether to trust her statement or not.

Yes well your sister has made it clear that this will not work, for now. So come along.

Henry hesitated then he quickly grabbed a bottle of confetti of his dresser and followed the Keeper. As he walked towards the cafeteria he left a trail of confetti behind him which went well with the trail of glitter that his sister had put down. As he walked in he barely glanced at Yuuki, as he quickly sat down beside his sister. It wasn't that he didn't find her pretty, she was beautiful but he didn't much trust pretty girls these days. In face these days it was just a struggle to trust his sister again.

Henry picked up his spoon but paused. His sister was staring at him as if waiting for him to eat, her breath held inside his chest. Henry didn't move he glanced at her full bowl of oatmeal and pursed his lips. They sat like that for a long while then finally Greta took a deep breath, gave him a small smile and began eating. Henry let out a breath he hadn't known he had been holding and began eating.

Alice Starkly 7:01 am
"Everybody's looking for something.."


Alice was waiting in her room she had painted her picture and was awaiting a keeper to get her for breakfast she sat on her bed and hummed quietly she heard foot steps and looked at the door when the keeper opened the door she recognized her as keeper Kara a pretty young woman of about Twenty-five Kara spoke firmly.

"Sara its time for breakfast come along now."

Alice looked at her a feeling of anger growing inside her as she stood and smoothed her tan gown and pants before looking at the keeper and said sharply,

"My name is Alice I have told you all this more times than I can count!...Are you all draft?

The keeper looked at her while keeping her hand on her belt of devices that Alice knew where painful from experience she hates the way the keepers look at her and ready their devices like she is a beast in a cage to be tamed she looked Kara in the eyes and laughed a little Kara looked at her with pity in her eyes as she walked closer cautiously and says,

"Now now girl let's go to breakfast you must be hungry and I'm not in the mood for trouble today come along the others have already started eating."

Alice calmed down and started walking she was hungry so she don't fuss as Kara walked behind her she watched the ground and saw the trails left by Greta and Henry she smirked a little, Alice had always liked Greta from the moment they met because she didn't give in to the lies the doctors tried to put in their heads and stood up for herself,when Alice looked up again to see they had reached the cafeteria she walked to the table and sat by Yuuki with her tray.

"Hello guys, hope you slept alright with that rabbit roaming the halls... He can be so rude sometimes.."

She said casually before beginning her meal she liked oatmeal it was always different she dug in and munched happily on the apple bits as she looked around and noticed the keepers watching them all with a look of pity that made her want to scream she hated their pity they don't need it the keepers and doctors do after all they are the ones who can't remember their pasts they live in such a dull world it truly is sad she thought quietly before starting to hum softly as she ate.
