Halo was suddenly woken up by the sound of a voice being streamed into the tower through every speaker and screen system in the tower. Mordred? Halo wondered. Who the heck is this wacko? Halo got out of bed and ran through each room in the tower, Mordred's voice booming in each one. He finally made it to the family room, where his face was plastered on the giant screen.

Halo couldn't believe it. He took out his communicator and began inputting commands. "Nikki. This is Halo. We're getting something weird over here..." He finished inputting his commands. "I'm sending you the video now. You know who he is?"

Nikki listened to the voice and threats and her super-heated blood ran cold. That was, dammit, that wasn't good. "No, I don't. Start the mainframe trying to figure out the best places to disperse a chemical agent for maximum coverage, get the secondary systems trying to trace that signal.

"We'll be there as soon as possible."

Nikki turned to Manbot and Dream, "Let's move!"

Tanzen- Traum listened to Nikki and shifted as quickly as she could into an odd-looking bird with blue and green feathers and orange eyes. She took a moment to adjust to the new body before flapping her wings and taking off, making a small circle before she flapped faster, flying swiftly toward the tower. She landed in front of the door and shifted back to herself, opening the door with a pass code and running inside and up to the 'family room'.

Tanzen- Traum hurried toward Halo, "What did I miss, Halo Knight?" She enunciated each word clearly, but her accent still seemed to smother them some.

Halo nodded at Nikki and quickly started working on the computer. In truth, he wasn't very good with computers, so he decided instead to pull up the virtual map of the city. Naturally, the much taller buildings would probably hold a bomb, but he had no way of knowing which one. There was also the possibility of him hiding the bombs in the crowded areas like parks and shopping centers, but Mordred said he hid them in places where it would take a matter of a few hours for the malaria to spread. In the first place, he didn't even mention how many bombs would be placed. Things were looking a bit bad.

Suddenly, he looked up as Tanzen came into the room. "What did I miss, Halo Knight?"

"Nothing much." Halo said, as he pushed a button and closed the windows, dimming the lights. A holographic projection of the city was shown on top of the table at the center of the room. "The bomb could easily be set up anywhere in the city without anyone noticing. We don't even know how many there are. Our only choice would be to split up and search each sector of the city, square feet by square feet." Halo put his hand on his chin, frowning a bit. "But the city is so huge...we'd need someone to stay here and conduct the search..."

Nikki started to run. The coastline was only a few blocks over and she'd have to use the hidden bridge. She wondered where Manbot had gotten off to, she didn't see him, but she had more important things on her mind right now. Unlike the rest of the titans she had no inherent means of travel so she'd be pretty useless in the search, not to mention their limited numbers....

Nikki's mind ground to a halt as she realized. She quickly pulled out her communicator.

"Halo? Can you hear me, contact the police make sure they know what's going on, that feed may have been sent only to us. If they do, they're probably already working on it, if they don't they can help us." Nikki continued her run even as her legs burned. Despite being in good shape she'd never bothered to train her legs for running. The muscles had developed to take advantage of her board. Nikki would really need to fix that in the coming weeks.

Mordred looked at the wrist watch he wore under the black sweater. He adjusted the collar and looked a little annoyed. Three hours and no response. He figured they must be looking for the bombs. A brief smile came over his face, perhaps he'd dispatch someone to hold them up a little. The perfect name came to mind to; The Queen of Hearts. My god I hate her He thought, tenting and untenting his fingers. She's a real dog, and she's got that obsession... but I suppose that just makes her more susceptable to my whims... Yes, I suppose she'll do.

He picked up the ham radio and put the earpiece up to his head. He held the microphone and sighed. Reluctantly, he began speaking. "Breaker," He spate the word out as a bit of redneck fluff cought in his throat. "This is King Cobra, looking for the Queen of Hearts... do you... copy?"

The radio let out a fizzling sound and a big woman's voice came from the box on the shelf. "Sure do Honeylamb! I didn't think you'd ever call me back after... well, you know.." she giggled and a little snort escaped her nostril. Men could be heard laughing into the cb and calling out all kinds of words of encouragement like; "Goddam, did you have to hog-tie her?", and "Big women are fine, but you had to catch her on the fly."

Mordred grumbled and tried to continue through his gritted teeth. "Are you in the area of Jump City limits?" He dreaded what would come next.

"Sure am puddin'pop. Why, are you feeling frisky?" More giggles and hoots from the peanut gallery of truckers listening over.

"No, but I do need a favor." He tried to sound sweet, but it just wasn't in him. "I'd like a little ax-weilding demonstration for a certain group of kids."
"Ooh, I get it. I'll be there shortly, wait up for me Lovestuff! Over'n out!" The radio went silant after one last pop.

A look of pure disgust crossed over Mordred's face, and a shiver went down his spine. "Well," he told himself. "at least she doesn't know where I'm staying anymore."
