X-Com team "Wolf 3-6" was deployed, upon request by the United States, to investigate a small amount of unknown alien activity. The team arrived at 20:00 local time. They then neared the area of alien activity, to find that said area in question was a small lab. After entering the walled perimeter of the lab, the team found that there was large amounts of localized sectiod movement. For the next hour "Wolf 3-6" explored the lab to find a feeding and cloning station, while not having been attacked once. Wolf team then went to the labs main data terminal, and found encrypted data on the local sectiods. Pvt. Ron Witlim reported that "The sectiods were in the vents, behind the crates, and down every hall. We only saw them as they scrambled to get away from us, some even dropped their weapons."

At around 21:35 local time, a series of plasma shots had gone off outside the base. Wolf team then moved out of the lab at full speed to see the sectiods of the base take down an attacking Muton Berserker. At sight of Wolf team, the successful sectiods then ran back into the lab.

After continuing to the second of the two buildings of the compound, Wolf 3-6 discovered a small meld fabrication lab. However, the lab had some form of shielding protecting the fabrication equipment.


The sectiods at this lab seem to be slightly different in genetic structure then the sectiods seen in other engagements. These "new" sectiods show a lower aggression, a higher level of intelligence, basic personalities, a longer life span, and a packing instinct. Some of the testing equipments data shows that the sectiods of this lab share memories and get orders through a hive memory, which appears to be based around a large sectiod of approximately 5 meters tall.

We have given these new sectiods designations to differentiate between the different purposes of them:

Gama: These are the baser of the sectiods in the lab. They show a greater intelligence when they are in greater numbers. Their purpose seems to be gathering information and researching.

Alpha: These sectiods appear to have greatly improved psionic channels. Their purpose seems to be to lead the gama sectiods. They may also be capable of sending psionic messages to those of other species as a form of communication.

X: There is only one recorded X sectiod in the lab. With the massive amount of psionic energy flowing to and from this 5 meter tall sectiod, it is believed that its purpose is to lead the local sectiod group.

Dr. Vahlen has advised that communication with the non-hostile sectiods be attempted. She has expressed that she wishes X-Com agents accompany scientists sent to carry out this task.

Dr. Shen has advised that we set up monitoring equipment to get a better idea of what the sectiods are doing at the lab.
