X.Y. Academy

In a world of discrimination, a school harbors the trouble makers who have done the ultimate wrong. Acting like a gender they aren't. But, like their students, that's just the front they put up. [Closed and Starting ]

1,274 readers have visited X.Y. Academy since SunshinexDeath created it.

Introduction

Discrimination had reached new heights. It all happened during 2019, the new, elected president having wracked up millions of voters with his classic, country, All-American beliefs. The Westboro Baptist Church had recruited millions of followers to help the beginning of The End. From the very point that he was elected, President Chase Ho. Blake had made it his first point of business to crack down on gay marriage laws.

The first to go was the choice to lover whoever you wanted.

Next was to be yourself, even if the majority didn't believe in it.

People were brainwashed and taught to believe in the simplest of ideals though they were so complex:

'Whatever gender you were born it, you will act like it.' No 'if's, 'and's, or 'but's. A law was passed even to change the word of the Bible to say very clearly that if you were not this way, you were a sinner. Georgia was the first to promote this then came Tennessee along with most of the Southern countries. Before long, most of the states had gotten into the trend excluding New York, Ohio, Florida, California, and Texas. However, the deeds do not end there. It has stretched even to the borders beyond what people could've ever thought. Scanners at airports to determine if you're carrying bombs, drugs, and to see which chromosomes you have and if you're acting according to your gender. Driver licenses that are scanned to make sure you're gender is true. Stores and boutiques and sections in a store where you are stopped for stepping one foot in a section of gender-related clothing that does not pertain to your own chromosomes. Certain jobs in which you must be a certified female, or male and if you even dress in one piece of article that is not your own gender, you're kicked out.

Basically, you're a criminal determined by your genetics.

By his second year in office, Chase had turned America into the most discriminating, hateful country in the world. Transvestites, Transgender, Third-Genders, Gays, Lesbians, Cross-Dressing, Transsexuals, and any one else that are 'gender confused' and 'different' are now arrested and tried for high criminal acts. If they 'repent', they are sent to a juvenile detention center or, the alternative, school.

This also goes for people with powers. After a war of the nuclear sort, a virus was unleashed across most of the world. Some mutated and became disfigured or gained abilities. Some children born after this had abilities and deformed genetic structures as well. They are sent to the same sort of boarding schools. The alternatives include being lab rats or turning up six feet under in a small coffin.

These days, discrimination is just looked upon as a daily thing. And those who have made the major crime to fight against the law have to learn how to do right by it.

Welcome to X. Y. Boarding School.

This is not Hogwarts. This is not Monster High. We expect excellence in our classrooms and good behavior in all our halls. Nothing more- nothing less. You are to behave according to school rules, dress according to school rules and portray yourself by your gender. Please listen to your higher ups and be sure to do all your homework. Only the best are meant to be here. This is a prestigious school with no time for playing around or dilly-dallying. We all want the best from you. Your respect is gained only by your academic achievements. We have been running since 2019 and our school reflects our president's ideals and expectations. Just like you, we will not live down or below that.

And for you other students- troubled with messed up ideals, you're going to have to learn as well. We will not expose your crimes but be sure to abide by these rules. Or you'll be going to the place where you rightfully belong. Think yourself lucky to be in this school, as you could've easily been kicked into some dirty hole where you belong.

We will let you mix with the normal students but if even a single breath of your crimes, your disgusting behavior, you'll have to deal with the consequences.

But do not fret. We hide your secret because we're hiding our own. We will not report you. We are the ones that do not discriminate. That love you with every fiber of our being. Just be careful. And don't hate us for being mean, children, it's for your own good and ours both.

Rules of X.Y.

We do not want you to laze around. You are to be in, at the least, one club and have two to three electives. If you fail or do not live up to these 'extra' curriculum subjects, consequences are up for discussion.

There is to be no fraternizing of P.D.A. on school grounds.

You are to have a hall pass if you are going to different places in between / during classes. You will be issued three warning before consequences will take place for not having it.

Girl are to stick to their own quarters- along with the boys. If we are to find any other gender in the quarters where they are not allowed to be, it will result in only one warning and then detention.

Chores are a necessity. Every two weeks, you will be assigned three chores to do by yourself. At the end of the month, every child will be put in a group of four- two girls, two boys. Special chores and assignments will be given to this group to do together. If not all members are doing their part, the whole group will be given an extra assignment as a consequence.

No fights or brawls. If you bring any sort of weapon to school, it will result in severe punishment and- if serious- expulsion.

No drugs are allowed on campus. Neither is alcohol- unless you are of legal age. If medicine or drugs are needed for medical reasons, please alert the office before hand or when you obtain said medicine so we can sigh it in for your use.

If you are to break more than three of these rules, you are to be suspended for three days. If serious, it will be immediate expulsion.

First of all, fill out the Application accordingly. Make it as descriptive as you want- I really love reading Character Profiles that people put time into.

Especially when you make it pretty. Feel free to add color to your CPs; makes it a delight to look at!

Concerning characters:

All I can say is that I would enjoy, more than anything, for you guys to put effort and time into something you can be proud of. Make them descriptive and unique! Quirks, fault-- Anything!

Make them realistic. I want them to be born- not made. I want to feel a connection to them.

Secondly:

When you fill out your application and all is well you can either:

- Send it to me through PM along with a brief or long example of your Role-Playing style. I will only choose a few, selected people and individuals who I deem fit to be in and participate in this RP.
- When it comes to your Application 'Signature' and Extra Information, do what you want there. Fancy font, colorful font, fancy and colorful, normal- do what you'd like. Extra Information can include 'theme songs' for your character and just plain extra information.
- I'll post a list of the Students for each 'Term' in the School Listing.

Third:

This will be functioning as a normal (sort of) academy. You will have academic rewards, tests, grades, sports, clubs-- so on and so forth. Special Events will be held in their own separate places. Whether it will be on its own IC Thread or in the actual Roleplay is yet to be discussed.

Fourth:

Please have fun! Treat this like a.. Simulation, if you will, of an academic/school experience. There will be factual things put into this. As mentioned above, you'll be tested on things. How this will be held is up for discussion as well!

-- That's all for now. Check up on this every now and again for Updates on the Information of this Roleplay.

Corina sighed softly when she took the patch and thanked her, pulling her arm back and thumping against the door. "No problem." She said kind of quietly with a little shrug of her shoulders, as she crossed her arms over her chest and watched the girl. She wasn't used to talking to people. She usually just kept to her own world, got average grades, and went unnoticed in school. She often didn't get along well with others, especially girls. She just wasn't interested in the things they were and never had been. She'd also done her fair share of pushing people away. Corina didn't want a friend to ask her to sleepover, because she could never take them to her house, and she didn't want anyone prying in her life. Plus, with moving all the time, how the hell was she supposed to keep friends? It just never worked out.

With a blink of her eyelashes, Corina realized the girl had asked her a question and pulled off the door, running her fingers through her long red hair and inspecting herself. Her old black blouse was safe, as were her shoes, but her white jeans had a small spot of blood on them near her hip. It wasn't a big deal anyway. It was too small for anyone to notice unless they looked at her really good, and she was pretty good at going unnoticed. With a shrug, she pulled her blouse over the spot and shook her head. "Nope, you didn't get me."

For a second, she watched as the girl struggled with the patch. It was clear that she couldn't tie it herself, and Corina wondered if she should offer to help her. It was weird, actually having to talk to someone. It wasn't exactly a normal conversation, but she was socializing. When the girl finally asked for her help, Corina nodded. "Yeah, sure. Here." She could tell the girl was embarrassed, and didn't know what to say to fix it. She guessed if the girl had run into anyone else, they'd be squeamish and squealy about the blood. Especially a girl. "You're lucky you bumped into me." She said with a slight smirk, reaching forward to tie the patch for her. "Anyone else probably would have been freaked out." When she'd finished tying the patch, she stepped back again. "I'm Corina by the way. Corina Ross."

Almost stunned, Lucas stared at Austin's offered hand, as if not really sure what to do with it. That just emphasised how much his social skills had diminished over the past year. Still, his hand moved, almost automatically into the correct motion, though the movement was more hesitant than Lucas would have liked it to be. Though if there was one thing Lucas had, it was a firm handshake, a sign of the confidence that he no longer felt he had. Not anymore at least. Not after the past year.

"It's very nice to meet you too, Austin.", he replied, simply out of courtesy to the younger boy, stepping away from the wall so he could make eye contact, as much as he didn't want to. That was just out of politeness as well, though it was also so that he at least appeared confident. 'Austin' did have rather pretty eyes though...No, stop it. I don't need this right now. Not after Tatsuya. Not after jail. he told himself sternly, then realised that he was still holding Austn's hand. It had been too much time for skin contact between guys right? Probably. He swiftly, awkwardly, boke the contact and jammed his hand into his pocket, his other hand still gripping his phone like it was a lifeline. And it was, in a way. A lifeline to the only member of his family that wasn't ashamed of him for what he was. Am member of his family who hadn't even texted him to ask how he was doing. Did Jonathan hate him now too? Lucas didn't want to think that way, Jonathan had always stood by Lucas, even when he had been in prison. His younger twin had been the only one to ever contact him during that time...

He suddenly remembered that he had been n the middle of talking to someone, and looked up at Austin.
"Sorry...kind of drifted there. I do that a lot, it seems. So...what're you in for? The school, I mean.", he asked, trying to sound lighthearted, though he knew what the sandy-haired boy's answer would be.

The same as his.

Because he had no other choice.

Corinth let out a half sigh, trying to erase the color in her cheeks. "Thanks" she mumbled, putting a hand to the patch. Perhaps to reassure herself. That it was still there? It was sort of her lucky charm, the little bit of cloth was. "I'm Corinth." She said. the added a few moment later, "West."Then she gave a half smile. "Thanks again for helping me. and not freaking out, really." She ran a hand through her hair, checking for blood among the brown strands. She shook her head slightly. It was lucky, she thought. She'd never really thought of it that way. Running into people as a rule wasn't a good thing. But she'd gotten her eye-patch tied.

Blood was a disgusting sight for most people. But honestly, after having it run like tears down her cheek so often, Cor was immune to it. It was like being around people with different sexual preferences than her. After living with her brother so long she figured that this school wouldn't bother her much. She didn't much care. So many things were only disturbing or gross the first couple times on experience them. Time tempered everything. That brought up another question.

Why was this girl so cool at the sight of blood? Cor didn't think much on it though. She should be grateful that the other helped her. "I appreciate it."

.-.-.-

Austin could feel that Lucas wasn't... right. Was that the correct word? Jail must have broken him. Not surprising. Austin knew what the institution had done to him. he just knew how to hide it better. The long moment when another warm hand clasped his own felt... odd. It wasn't a friendly moment, per-say, more like he'd spaced out. Then the other jammed his hand in his pocket. Tin followed suit.

A short pause and a far-away expression on the other's face ensured. Austin took the time to study the male's features. Bleached blonde hair, Tin noticed. Green eyes, similar to his own, but a brighter color, perhaps. A slender curve of cheek and jaw. It made for a pleasant face to look at, he had to admit.

"It's cool" the boy said. "I'm here because I'm a very naughty boyo." He said with a sarcastic nod of his head. "You know, the usual." He adopted a mock bull-dog deep voice. "'This here is your last chance, sonny. Don't mess it up.'" He smirked and shrugged.

Cameron pulled Zane up, not knowing it was easier then most people he had done this to, then followed him to the lines. Cameron quickly noticed that Zane got in one line and then hoped into another line, as if he forgotten his last name. Cameron made a notation to ask him about it later, then getting into the line marked "M-S", waiting until he was in the front of the line, but at the moment he was only third in line, as was Zane and Copper, standing behind Zane. Cameron then was at the front of the line. The only man sitting there out of the four people, would be orchestrating his line. "Name, Please!" the guy demanding as if he had done this a million times, Cameron wasn't used to a man demanding info, unless it was his lover or police officer. "Cameron Siller, Please.", not trying to have an attitude with the man. He took two looks though two different piles, stopping at a folder and handing it to Cameron. "Here, have a nice school year, make it last.", the guy said it as if he mean't something of it. "Thanks!" Cameron replied not phased by what the man said. Opening the folder he found a note from his mom.

Dear Cammy,
I want you to do well in school this year, since it is your last. Try not to get in to much trouble. Don't have sex unless protected and try not to get caught, they won't let you off easy there. If i were you i would find i cute guy and be with him always, don't let him wonder from your path, try to keep him in your "Tracker Beam". LOL. I LOVE YOU, FORNOW AND FOREVER!
Your Mom XOXOXOXOXO

Bringing a few tears to his eyes and a small smile to his mouth, he quickly wiped them away, hoping not to show to much of a weak side. He then flipped through a few photos and stopping at his schedule. Reading over the classes in his head, then listening to Zane tell them his classes, he found out that they had two classes together and study hall. "Hey Zane, we have Government, Physics, and Study Hall together. Isn't that great?" some what of a sarcastic question, along with kind-of wanting to know. "Hey Copper do you have Study Hall too?" not really interested, but wanting to keep him in the conversation, "Since you never said you had a second elective."

Cameron was ready for school to begin, he now had more thoughts like, his teachers and the other students that would be in the class. These were things that were on his mind and now that he thought of them, he would have them on his mind until he knew. While he waited for Zane and Copper to reply, he saw the other two still talking by the "old spot", of which the trio was just at before getting their schedules.

#, as written by Sharra
Leia milled about on the outskirts of the crowd of girls, blowing a sigh. She really didn't want to be here. She idly flicked at the ends of her bangs and wondered if she would actually let it grow out this time. It wasn't that she disliked having long hair... it was being told that she must wear it a certain length and a certain color that really irked her. Maybe she'd let it grow all year to show what a good girl she was and then chop it all off at the end of the year just to spite the system. The whole thing was frighteningly similar to George Orwell's 1984. The only things missing were the little TVs playing tinny national anthems and the 'Thought Police.' Science fiction? Or mis-dated prediction of the future? Leia wondered if the president had read this book in school and decided it would be the model for his 'perfect world.'

Someone bumping into the girl next to her snapped her back into the present and she stiffened, expecting a shiv to fly and the screaming to start. Fortunately the only thing that flew was an apology and a bit of cloth with some strings attached to it. She exhaled a breath she didn't realize she was holding and took a step further away from the crowd. That's when she realized the girl was bleeding... from her eye? It was rolled up into her head as though trying to look at something behind her and seemed to have a mind of its own. Nuclear firestorm doth not mutate equally, she guessed.

Eyes darting from side to side, she pulled a handkerchief from the hidden pocket she'd sewn into her skirt and snapped it in the air a couple times casually as if to smooth out the folds. She forced the ambient humidity into the cloth to moisten it as it was flicked, and then brought it to her lips. She took a deep breath and blew frost until the cloth was chilled and approached Corinth cautiously.

"Um... here," she said timidly, holding out the cloth. "That one is already dirty."

It was Lucas' turn to laugh at Austin's impression of an official/prison guard-person, the sound seeming unfamilier to him now. He hadn't laughed for a long time. Odd for someone who, before, had never stopped laughing, had never taken things seriously. Had considered his whole life to be a game. He really had changed, and the thought saddened him, though the emotion never showed on his face. He had noticed that the younger boy had been staring at him, and he immmediately felt uncomfortable under his gaze. Another sign of the effect the past year and a half had on him. Before, the thought of anyone staring at him that way would have made him happy, pleased that he was the centre of attention. Now though...while he was pleased that Austin at least appeared interested, Lucas worried that maybe there would be others for whom 'interest' wouldn't be enough. Who may want to take it further, knowing that it would get Lucas in trouble.

But he wouldn't dwell on that now. Those kinds of paranoia were for later. He copied Austin's smirk, and nodded in understanding, "Same for me, I guess. I'm a bad kid. Maybe you should keep away from me. Don't want no trouble do we?", he asked, though there was an odd look in his emerald eyes, as if the two boys were sharing a private joke. In a way they were, as far as Lucas could figure, Austin had been in jail for the same thing he was. Loving the wrong things. Or the wrong people. Stupid Laws, making any kind of difference a sin.

Surprised. hat was the expression on Corinth's face when another girl walked up and offered her clean handkerchief. So much attention. Had Cor ever received this much positive attention from classmates in her life at one time? It seemed not. She quirked her face into a smile of thanks, ducking her head slightly as she accepted the cloth. It was wet, slightly chilled, icy against her fingers. "Thanks." she said, feeling awkward again, her face blooming with red roses of embarrassment. She wasn't very good with people she didn't know. Everyone expected something.

She mopped her face with the cloth, the cool feeling blissfully good against her heated skin. After getting rid of the last dregs of ugly red blood on her face she sort of held the now brown mottled cloth out, still clenched in her fist. "Do you, um, want it back?" She offered. She wasn't going to force it on the other, but she wasn't going to keep it without permission either. But really, who wanted a cloth with some random girl's blood on it? Her blood. Now, if it were some celebrity's blood, then freaks would be all over it, but Cor was no celebrity. Not by a long shot.

.-.-.-.

Austin chuckled slightly. "There's no use going out of my way to avoid trouble." He said, amused grin still in place. "It always finds me in the end." he gave an almost sarcastic wink and then turned to examine the lines. They were thinning quickly. People were milling again, sharing schedules and discussing classes. Tin pointed jauntily with his index finger. "I'm goin to go see what I've got planned to do in the hell-hole, wanna come?" He asked, his smile replaced with a smirk.

In turning, Austin would know if he'd made a new friend or not. He ambled lazily to the line labeled for Ws, among other letters. Not that there were that many people in the line to start with. The further down in the alphabet the less people had those last names. Austin had usually been last in role calling, and all manner of things for having a W. Not that it irked him much. Sometimes and Y or an X or a Z would come by, but being last was distinguishing. It set him apart. Therefore It was good.

The sandy-haired boy took his schedule and swept his eyes across it. well, not bad. Then he lifted his head to search for the blonde boy he'd previously been talking to. Lucas.

"Yeah, sure. I'm in a different line though.", Lucas said, not caring if Austin heard him or not. His line took a while, being the A-G line, so when he eventually got his schedule, he was thoroughly bored. He perked up a bit when he saw his classes though. Let's see...Government, bleh...Math Analysis, double bleh...Awesome, AP Art, then American Lit, then lunch...after that...Creative writing...then Physics. Meh...Still, last class is Psychology, so all in all, not too bad., he though to himself as he walked back to where Austin was waiting for him.

"So? What'd you get? Is it as bad as you thought? Cos mine is. Got Government and Maths first thing in the morning. Jeez, I'm not even awake at that time, let alone able to do those subjects.", he said, trying to sound lighthearted. And he was, kinda. He had actually got into AP Art! He hadn't thought he would, that his folio from his old school wouldn't be good enough. Turns out though, it was. Finally, some good news.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, and Lucas puled it out, pleased when he saw who it was from. Jonathan. Finally!
Opening the message, he smiled at the contents: Hey, Psychs. Sorry couldn't text b4, 'rents givin it the shame speech 'bout u. U knw, the 'such an embarrassment' and 'how could we have brought up a freak like that' speech? I just sit and take it now, so bored! Anyways, hang in there bro, hope you're doin ok. J.

Typing out the reply, That sucks, mate. Bet M was givin it the same. Sorry u have 2 go thru all that. Doin fine, wrists hurt frm those cuffs tho. Lol, jk. tlk l8r, L., he put his phone back, glad that noting serious had happened that would stop his twin contacting him.
