Ragna heard the commotion outside as he gave a bit of an annoyed laugh.

"Great, I bet it is going to be my luck that I get the flying dimwit in my class." He says pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Oh, I don't know that one might be interesting to teach." An unknown voice calls out.

Right as Ragna heard the voice he instinctively grabbed his maul and swung it out the speaker only to notice that all that he swung at was an astral projection.

"I see that you are still prone to violence my son." The projection of an older man in dark red robes states.

"In my experience it is healthier to kill first and ask questions later." The son says to his father.

"Yes, well it is hard to get answers from a dead man now isn't it."

"You got me there. But, what is it that you were talking about the idiot who just flew into the clock tower?"

"Ah yes him, Conri Alameda, believe it or not he is the bastard son of Fergus Clover."

"The late master swordsman of the Clover family?"

"Yes, and he has shown a great aptitude for the sword and wind magic."

"Wind magic, not many people specialize in it because of how dangerous it is."

"Yes, most wind magic practitioners end up hurting themselves more often because of how hard it is to control wind magic as the the young man just demonstrated." The old man says stating his sage like knowledge.

"Yeah, but there is not much I can do with him I don't use a sword or wind magic."

"No, no, you don't but I have taken a special interest in him and I would like you to keep tabs on him, for I predict that he will be very useful in the future for when you return to the battlefield."

"Return? I thought that this demotion was permanent?"

"No, in fact this is a promotion."

"Promotion?"

"Yes, you have proven yourself invaluable on the battlefield but you are still just one man. So it is the council's decision that you should have your own team. While you are here you are to choose five people and I would like that young man to be one of them."

"You know what, I think that I am may not have as many complaints with this job now that I know it is only temporary."

"I thought that you would like it."

"Yes, but I will need to make several trips to records to look up my potential candidates."

"Now Ragna, you must do this as secretive as possible since we have not gotten the approval of the school yet, but I thought that it would be best that you get a head start on it for when we do get approval."

"Understood, sir."

And then the projection of the old man dissipated leaving Ragna with a sadistic smile on his face.
