Peyton waked up and decided to head out. Peyton got all of his gear and weapons together. As soon as he woke up he had to light up another cigarette to get relaxed a bit. Peyton was more surprised he fell asleep being inside that abandoned blood-stained apartment building. Peyton got on all of his gear and began to point his M16A2 scanning the area. Peyton inched step after step looking both ways. Peyton didn't want to take the chance of a wastelander ambushing him from nowhere.

Peyton began walking down the street and saw it was a violent mess on the main street. Many vehicles were wrecked and smashed up against each other some were even on fire. Peyton looked down a different street that looked somewhat safe. Peyton continued on a different street still aiming his gun. Peyton walked up to a car that looked decent and still had the key in it. Peyton opened the door to the brown car and checked inside the vehicle. Then a sight Peyton saw disgusted him. There was a corpse in the back seat with its head blown to pieces and flies were devouring the inside of its head. Peyton dragged the body out the back seat and threw it in the street. Peyton got inside the car and twisted the key to see if it would start. The car sputtered and then shut down. Peyton tried twisting the key again and applied pressure to the gas pedal with his foot. Then the car went down again. Peyton twisted the key and it finally started. Peyton saw it had a full tank of gas in it still. Peyton felt very lucky and drove down the empty streets out of the abandoned city and on to the open road in the country.
