Wolf stood near the water pump in the middle of the town. He watched some of the merchants walk around trying to sell things. He than watched as a young girl walked toward him with a bucket. The girl had long blonde hair, her legs and arms were visible and Wolf noticed that the girl had a few scars. She had light tan skin, she seemed like a normal girl. She dropped the bucket under the water pump and she than began pumping the water into the bucket. When she had filled the bucket almost to the top she stopped. She tried lifting the bucket but it was heavy. Some of the water spilled out and the girl seemed to be distraught. She balled her hand into a fist and clenched it tight. Wolf sighed and walked over to the girl. He grabbed the buckets handle and lifted it up.

The girl turned to look him in the eyes and Wolf said to her “I’ll give you a hand. Show me where you want it.” The girl pointed to a stand where a merchant who looked to be in his forties was selling clothing. Wolf nodded and walked over to the man’s stand and dropped the bucket next to it. The man looked at Wolf and than the girl , he than said to the girl “ Sarah, you didn’t give this young man any trouble did you.” the girl shook her head, Wolf than stepped in and said “ I was just giving her a hand, she looked like she didn’t have the strength to carry the bucket.”

The man looked Wolf in the eyes and said “Thank you.” The girl, Alice, walked to the back of the stand and disappeared behind a curtain. Wolf watched her and than said to the man “Did I do something wrong? She seemed like she didn’t want my help or to even talk to her.” The man looked at Wolf, the man’s eyes showed sadness he then said “ That girl has been through a lot, she was once used as a slave, my caravan found her in the woods. She was being chased by a group of men who asked if we had seen her. So instead of giving her back I paid off the men and took her in as my assistant. But she has never spoken a word the healers I’ve taken her to say she is fine, but there is something wrong with her mind that wont allow her to speak. So don’t take her attitude personally she isn’t trusting of most people.” Wolf nodded and said “ I wish you and her luck, hopefully she will speak to you one day.” the man smiled and said “ yes hopefully that day will be soon.”

Wolf than turned and walked back toward the water pump. He than saw Willow, Wolf chuckled at his question. Wolf thought about if he should tell Willow the answer to the question. Wolf didn’t want everyone knowing that Gabriel was in the town. If they did some people might talk and than Wolf would have to deal with the royal Galandra army. Wolf came up with an idea and he said to Willow “yea those three are old friends of mine, they came for a little visit that all.” Wolf smiled at Willow and then said “ Is there anything else you want to ask me?”
