Wolf looked Rowan in the eyes and said “right now, I can’t tell you much. The three that you saw are just travelers and they aren’t causing any trouble. So there is no need to concern yourself with them.” Wolf smiled at Rowan, Wolf couldn’t tell Rowan about who those three really were, Wolf made a promise to keep Gabriel’s presence hidden and the more people that knew he was here. The harder it would be for Wolf to keep him hidden. Wolf’s attention shifted from Rowan to first door on the second floor. He watched Helena rush out the door, she had a worried expression on her face. Her hands were shacking slightly, it was as if she had seen something terrible. She ran down the stairs and than approached Wolf, she looked him in the eyes and said “that movement in the woods I was feeling, were bandits. They attacked the merchants that were traveling, the forest is burning and if we allow it to spread it can reach us.

Wolf shook his head and said aloud but more toward himself “Why were the merchants traveling through the forest it doesn’t make sense.” Wolf looked at Helena and said to her “use your magic to put out the fire, I’ll go see what happened to the merchants.” Wolf got out of his seat and he walked toward the door, as he passed by Rowan he said “ I may need some help if the bandits are still close by.” Wolf grabbed his sheathed swords off the wall near the door and than walked outside. He strapped the sheaths to his waist, he than pulled the swords from the sheaths and than walked toward the exit of the city. When Wolf reached the edge of the city that met with the forest he took off into the forest. The smell of smoke clouded the air, the light from the fire shined bright, showing Wolf the way. He looked up into the sky and saw clouds forming, Helena was preparing her spell. The sound of thunder rang in Wolf’s ears as he ran. Wolf than stopped as he saw fire burning down the trees, Wolf looked up after hearing the sound of cracking branches. He dove forward and narrowly dodged a branch that was still burning. He rose from the ground and ran forward. He looked up to the sky as he hear the sound of thunder again, it began to rain, the rain poured down hard the flames were quickly dying down. Wolf looked at his clothing as it started to get soaked by the rain. But he kept moving forward, he than stopped when he saw a man leaned against a tree, the man was bleeding heavily. Wolf ran to the man and checked the man’s wound. The man’s chest had been sliced open. The man wasn’t breathing, Wolf shook his head and than placed the man in a sitting position. Wolf stood up, there was no emotion in his eyes, he was trying to not let anger get the best of him. Wolf kept moving forward until he came upon a sight that horrified him, mutilated bodies laying all over the ground. Some had been burned by the flames. It made Wolf angry, he let out a deep sigh and he than heard voices. He ran toward the voices and he saw what he was looking for. The bandits they had captured a small group, most of the group were women and only a few were men. The bandits had the group surrounded. One bandit threw his axe at a man, the man dropped to the ground dead. The bandit pulled his axe out of the man and than pointed it at a woman.

A older bandit who looked like the groups leader said “ don’t touch the women, they are worth a lot on the market.” another bandit than yelled out “Boss, what do we do about the girl over there.” Wolf than turned his attention to the direction the bandit was pointing. He than saw a young girl holding a old man, the girl was protected by a barrier of light. She was using light magic to protect herself and the man. The older bandit said “ start a fire around them, the girl will break the barrier eventually.” the bandits than started to gather wood. Wolf shook his head and than he walked out from behind the tree that was hiding him. He charged one of the bandits and drove one sword into the bandit. Wolf kicked the bandit and pulled his sword out. He than pointed the sword at another bandit who was carrying wood. The bandit threw the wood down and than pulled an axe off his back. He charged Wolf, who blocked the man’s axe and then sliced the man’s neck. The older bandit than yelled to the rest “ kill him you fools!” the bandits charged Wolf, he smiled confidently at them. He allowed them to get close and he than countered each of the bandits by blocking with one sword and cutting them with the other. He left each of the bandits wounded, but he didn’t kill them. A few bandits ran off fearing for their lives. While the rest stayed and tried to attack wolf again, Wolf jumped back. He forced his sword into the first bandit and than used him as a shield against the rest. Wolf charged the bandits with the man’s body and forced them all to the ground. Wolf than kicked the bandit’s body off of his sword and let the man bleed to death.
