The young man raised his weapon in a silent defiance to the charging Golem. Damien closed his eyes and breathed in slowly, then out. He then opened his eyes, and now waited for the moment to come when the creature had closed the distance between them. "Get out of the way!" his head kept on telling him, but he knew better than to listen to his instincts at this very moment. Time seemed to pass with a slow grace to it, everything flowing. One of the young females, Maeko, had joined him by his side and he nodded at her, and then slowly to the side, indicating skeletons on the approach. The time had come, the distance was closed, and he started. Damien leaped into the air, his sword trailing behind him. He landed on the Golem's shoulder and kicked off, launching himself back into the air. Before he landed, Damien raised the sword into the air, and as the landing happened, he swung, and lopped off one of the incoming skeleton's head off. Then he felt something, and looked down at the skeleton. It had started shuddering, and was letting off an evil aura. "Oh shit..." he jumped backwards, with his sword on his back. The skeleton exploded, sending shrapnel and bones alike in all directions. He dove to the ground, now avoiding any and all of the shrapnel. Damien stood up, his back to the Golem and now was focusing on the one skeleton left. "Not the real problem," he thought to himself, "but it will help us with the Golem in the long run..."
