When Marceline finally opened the door, Giles took a few steps away from it before closing it gently behind her. The day had begun as of now, and he would do all that of which was in his power to please her. Everything would go her way, even if it meant snuffing out a few measly humans lives for her. Nodding curtly, Giles shortened his long strides so that he walked alongside his master. As always, the stupid maids and servants whispered amongst themselves and scurried to get out of their way. Their attempted niceties and awkward bows wasn't impressive but he smiled at them, motioning for them to carry on as he passed. The only time he was actually genuinely kind around the servants was when he wasn't tending to Marceline, the only reason he didn't like them was that they got in his way as he did his duties. Cramping his style was offensive. “Morning, Julianne.”
Eyeing her dolefully, Giles only shot her a smirk before nodding his head seriously. “As... you wish, My Lady,” the demon responded, “I'll prepare the dishes as Miss Julianne attends to you.” With that said, he disappeared down the hallway and into the kitchen. Today's menu would include deliciously made: les
crêpe, scrambled eggs with roasted sun-dried tomatoes and port mushrooms, and freshly squeezed guave juice poured into a sparkling wine glass. Everything was immaculate and nothing was the same, every morning something different. When Marceline was seated, he arrived with the glimmering silver trays and plates balanced on his arms and placed them in front of her. He shot the maids withering glares to silence them, and lifted the covers to reveal her breakfast. “Breakfast is served.”
Felice's weary mood of the waking without her servant, White, being around lightened considerably when she heard Gazette's voice. They were pretty good friends, and she thought they had more in common than he knew. Once he found a comfortable spot on the bed, she smiled cheerfully as she clutched the phone. “Gazette, I heard about this thing going on in town like a convention hall building that's just opening. All the
important rich folk will be there, I was wondering if you wanted to go... check it out, if you know what I mean?” The girl rambled, if he only knew how alike they were. Even being mistakenly sweet, she had a soft spot for getting in trouble and messing with rich kids. She stopped for a moment before complaining, “I can't find White anywhere.” Felice was surprised she hadn't heard him stumbling around the house this morning, the place was eerily silent.
