Ella sighed in relief, as she followed Max around the corner into the busy Nayvii and Vie-letts Canteen. Ella had caught a gilmse on the way into school of the huge canteen she thought the whole school would be sharing... but that was apparently for Crimsyns only. Like everything else in this school that looked remotely new. She looked around at the groups of Nayviis, groups of Vie-letts, and the occasional Crimsyn walking past the door, and glancing in in disgust. She saw Carmen buying food at the till and called her over.
"Carmen! Hi!"
"Oh, Hi Ella... and um... that guy who threw me across the classroom this morning..."
Ella almost smacked herself in the head.
