The night was cool and refreshingly crisp. A light breeze blew through the small city, ruffling the hair and loose clothing of those still wandering the streets. A lone figure stood overlooking them all, high above the streets, out of the bright city lights, away from prying eyes. The man stood not on a rooftop, but rather balanced on a flagpole, his his body at attention, his arms crossed, as his long white coat floated in the wind.

Marik gazed down on the moving specks that were the humans below. his face showed a look a kin to pity. "you humans don't know what you're dealing with, do you?", he spoke out loud to no one. He knelt down on the spot, looking closer at them. He held out at his hand and looked at it, examining the starnge skin and the extra digits there. "Then again, neither do I. This Arceus seems to hold power even greater than that of of the humans that created me." Marik clenched his hand into a fist.

It had been a week since this had happened to him, and he still could not accept it. Becoming like the beings that had created him, how was it possible? And all the while, these new Pokehumans were at war. Many of them had disappeared, joing the one who had done this, others had stayed to protect there masters. Marik, formally known as Mewtwo, the only of his kind, did what he did best: stayed in hiding, away from the conflicts of man, where it was safe. For how long that lasted he was not sure. The deadline was up, and the war was to start soon.

Marik stood once more, gazing to the east. the sun was just beginning to rise, the goldne beams already turing the sky brighter shades of blue. Marik turned the other way and stepped out into the air. One thing had not changed with this new form: he still retained his power. Marik launched himself into the air, using his hands to balance. He flew a few feet , before turning once last time to the sun. "Cherish this day, humans. It may be our last." He then turned and soared off into the new day.
