Van was sitting in a large tree looking up at the vast sky above him. He liked staring up at the sky, it was so beautiful to him. He quickly sat up when he heard movement below him. He looked down and watched as two figures were walking and talking together. Van jumped down from the tree and landed on the ground.

The two were shocked and they quickly stepped back in shock. One of them shouted “ hey, what’s the big deal trying to scare us like that!” Van bowed and said “ sorry about that, but no one passes here unless they beat me in a fight.”

The two figures looked at each other and then smiled, one of them said “alright, but first time for introductions.” Van nodded and said “ I am Van, the absol.” one of the two began stretching and then said “ I’m Lantz, the arcanine.” the last one ran his fingers through his hair and said “I’m Gabriel, the weavile.” Van nodded and then said “ ok, let us begin.” Van ran toward Lantz and Gabriel, Gabriel jumped up and grabbed a low branch, he swung himself up and then sat down. He looked down and said “ sorry, I don’t like teaming up on a nice person.” Lantz nodded and then turned to see Van’s fist hit him in the face. Lantz slid back and then ran toward Van and punched him back. The two then began a match of who could take the most punches. After a few minutes of fighting, they were both tired and bruised. Gabriel then jumped down from the tree and then walked over to Lantz and Van, he patted them both on the back and said sarcastically with a smile“ good job.” Van slid to the side and said “ alright, you may pass.” Lantz smiled and then said to Van “ thank you.” Lantz then collapsed, Van let out a loud masculine laugh and said “ ha, your tired after such a short match.” Van laughed again and then fell over next to Lantz.

Gabriel shook his head, he sat down on the ground and said “well, looks like I will have to wait here and watch over you two.” Lantz looked over at Gabriel and then nodded, Lantz then flipped himself onto his back and groaned in pain. He then turned to look at Van, who was either asleep or passed out. Lantz slowly lifted up his hand to the sky and then said “this was good practice for the fights to come.” Gabriel nodded and said “yea, now get some rest or you will be useless in those fights.” Lantz smiled and nodded.
