Anselm was relieved to first see Thalia and Sam a little distance away. They were coming towards him, so he must have landed slightly closer to their destination than they did. At least they looked like they knew where they were meant to be going.

Then, from somewhere behing, there was a rusteling followed by an impact, and he turned around to see Tegan landing not far away. He waited as she packed up her parachute...are we supposed to try to keep those? He thought. Never one to take more effort than was absolutely necessary, he simply cast his parachute pack off and left it on the grass. The weight falling from his back made him lose his balance again, and he fell onto his ass. He allowed himself another minute, first waving to get Thalia and Sam's attention, then calling out to Tegan: "Hey babe, not that I doubt that we're the only people around for miles, but by any chance did you notice the sergeant not giving us any ammunition before we jumped? Either he gave it to them (he indicated Sam and Thalia) or we'd better hope this training camp ain't too fucking far away."
