Nikki looks around, observing her surroundings. She was sent to kill someone. Someone from her home village, Codaheim. She's just outside the poorly guarded border. "Darn it... maybe if- no, that won't- yes!" She thinks, rummaging through her pack. She pulls out a small throwing star, and throws it into the gate wall.
"Take it," she whispers, "kill your ally, then yourself." A small wave of lavender Dust washes over the two guards, who appear rather aloof. One of them looks around curiously, then grabs the star. Nikki hears him say something along the lines of "Die!", then the poor guy slices the other guard's throat. The lone guard then jabs the star into his own neck, collapsing within 30 seconds.
Nikki sighs, and glances around again. She lays a thin layer of Dust over the village, searching for her quarry.
"No, not him," she says aloud, "nope- no, maybe- no. Well, yes. That's definitely him!" She runs to the gate, lowers a dark mask, and kicks open the feeble structure.
Nikki ignores the townspeople's gasps and cries as she races towards the man her Dust found for her- Dryus Finnigan. She pins him to the ground, holding a shiv to his face.
"Dryus Finnigan, I presume?" She spats, tightening her grip.
"Y-you've got the wrong man, I swear!" He screams, wriggling.
"He lies, Nikki..." the Dust whispers, "he's looking for an escape. He's thinking of a story..." Dryus' eyes begin darting to various places he can run to.
"I've got no time for liars," Nikki starts, "so you've a choice. Do I kill you and scalp you, or scalp you and leave you to die?" He just smirks.
"Wait- Nikki, run!" the Dust screams, writhing frantically.
"Yah! Winddust, toss her over the gates!" Dryus yells brazenly. A light green wave of Dust sweeps under Nikki. Her eyes go wide. She's lifted into the air, carried by the powerful Dust. "Blast, he's a Duster?!" she thinks, unable to move.
"Whisperdust," she murmurs, "make him kill himse-" Nikki's stopped by a blast of air being forced into her lungs.
"If this continues- I'll explode!" Nikki thinks. She throws a star, but the Winddust just blows it away. "No," she thinks, "Not- not yet..."
