Cathy got out of the limousine, staring up at the huge building before her.
"Have a good year honey, and feel free to come home for the holidays if you want." The voice of a woman called out from inside the limo.
"Of course I will Tiffany, I'm sure I will need more dark bleakness to add to my suicidal state of mind by the time the holidays come around." She muttered darkly, slamming the door shut and quickly walking up the drive.
Tiffany and Robert.
Cathy never called her parents mum and dad, or even mother and father, quite simply because she didn't believe that they had earned the names of affection. She absolutely hated her parents. Tiffany was nothing more than a superficial bimbo who kept trying to take Cathy to the salon and Robert seemed to think that because she wasn't girly she was a tomboy, trying to take her out to football games and teach her out to fix TVs and other rubbish. This summer they had taken trying to bond with her to a whole new level, meaning that she had missed the 'welcome back to school' dinner thing yesterday. Not that she cared about stuff like that, she just wanted to get back to school and away from her parents. That was why she was glad they could afford to send her to boarding school, she could go almost a whole year without ever having to look at them.
She sighed, looking up at the school.
"Back to my sanctuary." She muttered, taking a quick picture of the building.
The camera around her neck was one of those old fashioned block camera's that automatically spit out a little square photograph rather than getting the film developed. Robert had tried buying her a new up-to-date digital camera but she never used it. Despite the fact it was ancient, she loved this camera. It was so reliable, which was a good thing because they cost a fortune to repair.
"Shoot."
And it looked like a fortune was needed as she looked down at the photo. One of the window's had blurred and as she looked closely, she thought she could make out a figure within the blurr. What the heck? Robert must have been tampering with it again. Stupid idiot.
She continued to walk, turning briefly at the sound of the horses. Although she liked horses, she couldn't stand the riders of the school. They were all a bunch of bigheaded idiots who thought they were the greatest thing on earth. She shook her head and entered the building. Tiffany had at least had the sense to ring up and inform the teachers that she was arriving, which was a good thing because they reminded her about the Moonlit Bay Ball. She hated formalities but the Ball was always alright, and it would be the best chance she would get to catch up with the other goths. Besides, Tiffany had finally agreed to let her choose the dress to wear. Cathy made her way through the throngs of students, heading towards the dorms so she could unpack. All the way she was looking around to see if any of her clique were around.
Her attention was drawn to a bit of commotion. She watched as Sophia Huntington, some rich girl she had seen a couple of times last year, bumped into Alondel Clemmins, knocking him to the floor. Cathy had always thought Alondel was pretty cool, if a little unusual, and she'd always been fascinated with the whole wicca thing but she'd never got around to talking to him before. Whether that was because she hadn't really made the effort or they never seemed to be anywhere near each other she wasn't sure. And as Sophia walked away, she thought now might be a good time to start.
"You okay?" She asked, holding her hand out to help him up.

((OOC: Sorry I haven't posted before, I've been struggling to keep up with my roleplays it's just been so hectic recently. I'll make the effort to keep up from now on. Hope my post is good enough to start with.))
