Allia woke up slowly but was very quickly shocked wide awake by a sudden blast of pain as her eye lids opened to still dull light of the morning sun. She stumbled off her little window seat in her room and crashed to the floor holding her eye lid closed. Allia quickly reached for her small eye patch and strapped it on sighing. This was actually a very common experience for her, she had fallen asleep late the night before while reading her book on her small seat. Really it was just an over sized alcove for the window that she transformed into a cushioned reading area but it had turned into her usual bed.

Allia walked towards her closet and gathered up her toothbrush and toothpaste before heading towards the bathroom she shared with three other children at the old orphanage. It was mostly her's in the morning though because the orphanage had been forced to take out the mirror in the bathroom after she had broken the last three they put in there. She still had cuts on her hand from when she had actually punched the last one until the mirror lay in pieces and her hands were a bloody wreck.

After a short shower Allia brushed her teeth and combed her hair out before placing it in her standard pony tail and walking downstairs for breakfast. She was one of the last ones down in the room and the other kids had already devoured most of the meal, but Allia managed to grab the last piece of toast and an apple before walking out the door and two school. Her mind was usually pretty silent in the mornings but a small thought about Nowaki drifted into the back of it. He had skipped the last three days of school again and though he was a few grades higher then her, she was good at spotting him.. that and she always had lunch with him. They didn't speak usually and didn't even regard each other sometimes but he was pretty much all she had in this world, as poor of friends they were at times. It would be nice to see him again she thought.
