We got the first payment from that man! How long should we draw it out...?" Her voice turned to a soft chuckle as she skipped back across the small shop, leaning against the long mahogany desk. The soft yellow light of many lanterns filled the room, as well as several lamps, a few soft chirps of sparrows sounding from what looked to be nests near the ceiling. Her eyes floated to Park's writings, a poem... He always tended to write these, especially this one. It was of a bronze statue recalling the past. It was haunting... But beautiful, she must admit.

Park lifted his eyes to the girl, smiling slightly before looking back to his work, carefully dipping the brush into his ink. "It depends on how long he's willing to pay us, Yue~" The man laughed slightly, glancing to his large book of poems and back to the scroll, beginning his next line. "He's looking for his missing daughter, correct? Seems like a lot of people have been going missing lately... But, he is a rich man. We should get what we want out of him-" His sentence cut off quickly, the man jerking his arm away before dropping the brush. It was the nerves again... Park clutched the hand to his chest, squeezing it as if it would help the pain cease. Yue Yan frowned, her brow creasing in worry as she stepped around the desk. Her small hands laid the long wooden box before the male, Yue's head leaning to rest on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, brother..." She mumbled, her arms wrapping around him. "Use your medicine. Ma Ma and Ba Ba sent it to you from Shanghai... They say it will help." Getting no reply, she stepped away, starting up the thin staircase behind the back wall, mumbling that she would go get him something to take it with. Park was the only one she would do this for, and he knew that. Lucky him.
