Desmond hid behind the corner as the two guards stood in front of the door. He took a deep breath and turned the corner, charging the guards and knocking them out before they knew what had happened. One or two punches was enough to take these guys out, but he didn't doubt it would be harder once he got closer to the project. He approached the door, using the body of one of the guards for the retinal scanner. He entered the main building and looked around, noticing various groups of guards on patrol. He heard Ivan through the comm and took a sigh. "Serenity's in the lab... wanna race?" Without waiting for an answer he began moving, trying to avoid guards when he saw them. He was using the sheath of his katana to knock out the guards without killing them, deciding to leave that nasty business to his brothers.

After a few wrong turns he found himself at the east entrance to the lab, seeing the guards looking right at him. Usually his speed let him get by with ease, but them looking right at him would make that impossible. The guards raised their guns at him, to which he nervously laughed and readied his sword. "You guys wouldn't happen to know how I get in that room, would ya?" He smirked as his right hand began to spark, unleashing a strike at the light above. The hallway was filled with darkness as the guards fired recklessly into nothing. Starting with the one in the back he moved forward, taking out one at a time with his fists.

Taking a deep breath he leaned against the wall and stretched out. "That was easy..." As he got ready to move again, the alarm started to go crazy. Apparently they notice entire blocks losing power and act accordingly. "Uh oh." Desmond shrugged as he rested the sword on his shoulder and approached the lab door, noticing that a bullet scathed his right arm.
