After recognizing them briefly, the spellcaster quickly bound the fallen criminals with a cocoon-like spell. Aemyle had never seen such ability, even on their tours. Though the public was aware of such people, it wasn’t exactly every that one actually met one acquainted with the ways of magic…correction: with the ways of practical magic. She had seen a couple of people use it in their performances, but then it had only been flashes and illusions to wow the crowd.

The blonde heaved a sigh and turned her attention back to the musicians, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she did so.

“Thanks. I don’t think I’d have made it without your help.” Aemyle took her hand happily. Kuroseta took it reluctantly- she wasn’t entirely fond of physical contact with people. The blonde then surveyed the room, her eyes following some of those who were fleeing the scene.

“I think we’re supposed to stay… I won’t say anything if you don’t want to, but I’m the only one who used powers so I should take responsibility.” The ‘only one’? So she hadn’t seen Aemyle get shot. Though she was aware of the laws against using powers while unliscenced, the alien’s honesty won over.

“The thugs fired at me,” Aemyle lifted the bottom of her shirt to display the vicious bruise just below her ribcage. “Still I stand. You’d be lying if you said you were the only one who used ‘powers’.”

“…And technically…I did, too.” Kuroseta admitted, mostly because- unbeknownst to Aemyle- she knew that all the blonde had wanted was to find her brother. “Let’s just say that a mind trick would be an understatement.”

“We helped of our own free will, and we will face the consequences. I do not regret saving lives.” Aemyle smiled at the blonde and introduced herself and her companion, “I’m Emily Pan, and this is Kuroseta Sanogen,”

“Ecstatic,” Kuroseta answered sarcastically, rejecting eye contact with the spell caster. It was very clear that she only stayed because she didn’t want to leave Aemyle.
