A single streak of light came through Jake's window, trailing up a sheet which covered his entire body up to his hair. A few loud noises outside sparked a few nerves in his mind, turning on his brain to the outside world. A groan came from under the cover as he started to move, his legs stretching out as far as possible and stretching. He could hear the front door open and his left eye opened slowly, a hand coming up and pulling the cover away to stare at a alarm clock. A short curse word exited his mouth as his leg slid off the bed, his right arm pushing himself up and out of the bed.

He put his arms up in the air to stretch, his right knuckle taking a direct from the ceiling fan. A few more choice curse words dropped from his mouth as he walked away, now fully awake. He entered his bathroom and took one of his famous five minute showers, throwing on a pair of black athletic shorts and one of his football shirts. The rest of this common attire also included a pair of old worn Nike's which looked like they had went through hell and back, twice. Jake heard a familiar voice erupt from the first floor of the house, moving a little quicker as he grabbed his phone, wallet, and keys. His hand reached into the bathroom and grabbed a bottle of Listerine, throwing some in his mouth and swishing it around.

He turned and made sure everything was in its respective pocket, reaching up and grabbing a Zippo and slipping it into his left pocket as he grabbed his under armor backpack with his other hand. He opened his door and out into a upstairs living room, and down through the stairs. He gave a faint wave with his hand to his family and Anna, his mouth still full of Listerine as he pulled open the refrigerator. His hand went in and grabbed a shaker already mixed with some of his protein mix and milk. He leaned over to the sink, quickly opening his mouth and letting the mouth wash splash into the sink. A disgusted spit came from his mouth before he turned, his mom giving him the look. "I know..." He said, noticing his dad already had his uniform on, apparently having to work today.

"I thought you had today off?" He asked, his dad shaking his head. "Nope, something came up and one of the other wardens had to switch shifts." Jake nodded, popping open the shaker and taking a quick swig of the drink. His eyes went to Anna, a faint grin on his face after but a second. "You coming or not? He asked, not waiting for an answer before turning and moving to the front door. He opened and walked out of the door, holding the screen open just long enough to call out back to Anna, "Lets go Garry, we don't have all day!" He took a few quick steps and turned, walking backwards as he waited for Anna to come through the door red faced as usual. A smile showed up on his face again, feeling rather clever for it being this early in the morning.
