Karen slept hard and well. For the last few weeks she's had either a cot or the ground. A real bed is just what she needed. And really it's a luxury no matter the grade of bed, anything is better than a cot or the stiff ground. She had Kaiser sleep right outside of her locked door. Rising up in the morning she blinks blearily at the wall across from her, momentarily forgetting where she was. Right. In the Lucky 38. Worming her way out of the bed she pulls on her packed cloth robe. Karen's legs and arms are still wrapped in protective bandaging. She slept in shorts and a tank top lost night. Rubbing some sleep out of her green eyes the woman unlocks her door. Kaiser stands up happily when she opens it, whoofing excitedly and headbutting her hip. With a faint laugh she shoos the dog with a hand and wanders until she finds the kitchen. With a rumbling tummy the woman begins to find herself some breakfast.

Apparently no one else had woken up yet and there's no sign of Selena. The gambler no doubt stayed up well past an hour she should have, pulling on slot machines and rolling dice. Karen shuffles into the kitchen with a slight recoil from the light. Grumbling under her breath the sniper yanks open a cupboard and snags a box of Sugar Bombs. Kaiser stares at her until she's able to salvage some jerky and an ant egg from the fridge for him. She drops herself in a seat at the table as she slowly eats, tired eyes reading the back of the box. Karen isn't a morning person.
