Tomas came to a halt as dragons came out of the princess back. They surprised him to the point where he became completely visible. Dragons?!?! What the hell kind of power is that??? He thought to himself. They commanded him to put them down, speaking as if the girls body was their own. and to make a bad time worse, he felt vines wrap around his ankle, trapping him. Well bloody hell... He thought, weighing out his options. He still held his sword in his hand. If I kill the princess, her powers would end, but so would my contract. And besides, I'm not that much of a monster. He thought, looking at the dragon who was breathing smoke. He seemed eager. On the other hand, I've invested far too much in this job to just wash my hands of it now...

With a swipe, he cut the vines on his foot, freeing it. That done, he put the sharp end of his blade to the princess' throat. "Stand down." He told the dragons. "I'll kill her without a second thought. And if she dies, her power dies with her." It was a stretch of a bluff, but it just might work.
