Nathan had no idea what he was supposed to do in this situation. He'd never been great at relating to people, seeing as he'd been alienated and tormented for pretty much his entire life. Add that to the fact that Pet most likely wasn't in her right mind... well, suffice to say he wasn't in his comfort zone right now.
"Pet, it's okay," he tried to reassure her, even if he didn't really believe what he was saying himself. "Everything's fine, you don't have anything to apologize for." What was she so upset about? What could've happened? He'd only had his back turned for a few minutes. Had she hurt herself? No, she didn't seem injured in anyway. Besides, she'd said she was cold, not hurt. And it wasn't even that cold in the room.
"I do..I do I know, I just. I just. Please stop. PLEASE!?" Nathan pulled back a little and looked at her, at a complete loss. What had he done wrong? He knew he didn't have he best people skills, but at least he was trying, right? That had to count for something. "What is it? Can you tell me what's wrong?"
