Suzume laughed at the comment about the monkey. "Well... we're just gonna have to wait and see." She stood up, brushing the dirt off her dress. "I'll see you tonight." She walked off, already trying to decide on what dress she should wear.

Kei lay on his back. He was bored. Everyone else seemed to have found something to do to pass the time before the dance. He rolled over on the bed, staring outside the window. On impulse he opened it and climbed out, leaping onto the ledge. He clawed his way up onto the roof and sat down, letting out a sigh. The sky was clear today. Good, Kei thought as he transformed into a cat and curled into a ball, quickly falling asleep.
