Maya felt relieved as he took her hand and promised to protect her. She felt embarrassed that she couldn't do it herself but nodded in agreement. She noticed they were nearing her apartment. The streets were barely filled with people. She looked behind them a little nervous that the guys were going to keep their promise about coming back. She didn't want Drake to have to fight for her. It just wasn't nice to watch. "Here's my place," she pointed to a four story building. Digging into her purse she found the entrance keys. Once he unlocked it she grabbed Drake's hand. "Come on inside!" she tugged him towards the elevator and she hit 4. She smiled as the elevator went ding. "My room is 4D," she told him.

Garret just smiled, he didn't comment on anything Kali said. He caught the Sprite and started sipping. The call had made him raise an eyebrow but he didn't think too much of it. Looking around the room he landed his eyes on the window showing the beach area. People were here and there. He finally heard Kali call him to leave. He got up and left the Sprite on the counter. "Ready," he answered and followed her to the door. Once again the sun hit their skin and Garret almost cursed at the heat. Human bodies sweat, he remembered. He walked under a large tree under the shade. He waited for Kali to lead the way towards the beach even though it was basically right there.
