Again Laon spent some time in silence. He paid close attention to every word that Layla spoke until she finished her explanation. Laon sighed slightly. "Is that right? So you're saying that this..." Laon spoke softly, pointing at the lock on his neck. "Can be removed by you, and I will gain greater power provided I protect you? Very well." He trudged through the water slowly, heading towards the bank where he had left his three-section staff. During which his eyes remained half open, as if he was lost in thought. For some reason, all of this information seemed very familiar and yet... he couldn't place it. Moreover, the odd feeling he had when he had first met Layla was intensifying as he moved closer to her.

Upon reaching the bank he climbed out and picked up his shirt, which he pulled back on before leaning close to Layla's face, and staring directly into her eyes for a while. His own cold gaze was broken shortly after as he closed his eyes with a smile and held out one hand to his newly found partner. "I sense no ill will in your words, and no malace in your eyes. Therefore, the Sea Serpent Demon Laon Hebisuke, will yield to you. Free me, and I shall protect you with my life."
