John cheerfully hummed St Louis blues, walking unsteadily through the hallway of the Lewis and Clark. From the end of the hallway sounded another piece of music. John stuck his head down the door to discover Jared on the couch. They had met briefly, but this would be a good moment to find out who he was. John dropped himself like a potato on the chair perpendicular to the couch and directed himself to Jared. “Quite the launch, eh!” - he started clumsily in his low voice.
He laughed a bellowing laugh. “God-damn adrenaline! Once the rush is over there's not much left of us, is there.” After a pauze he sat up and leaned forward. “Are you alright, mate? You look a little pale.”
