Crying did not get you feed, did not stop beatings, crying was useless and even worse some men enjoyed to see tears, it encouraged them bringing them to new heights of sadism. Tears were for the weak. He knew well that uselessness of tears, all he saw before him was a pampered child throwing a tantrum. She knew nothing of the world, nothing of starvation, pain, or loss.

Since he ordered her to protect her, he was not going to let her leave his sight. He was not a fool, not like her last guard who he dismissed on the way in here telling him to go get reassigned.
