K was walking away from her fellow clan members and to the main entry way into the outpost, when all of the sudden she heard screams for help, as if someone was dieing, come from deep inside Clan outpost, she wanted to figure out what was going on, so she hurried towards the screams. As she got closer she saw people running, and thick black smoke going up into the blue sky, she also heard crackling of a flame. Then she finally saw it, a huge mansion like house was in flames. The flame was coming out of the windows, and the roof burning away to the fire, or what was left of a roof. And right before K’s eyes, she saw the house collapse and be gulfed up in flames. She then looked as the flames trailed onto other nearby house, catching them on fire, and anything else in its way.

K was about to run to warn others to get out of the outpost, but she heard a yell and a sound of a baby crying come from inside a nearby house. “Help anyone, please!” Was the basic sound of the yell, and it also sounded like a woman. But the house it was coming out of, the left side and roof was already caught in the flames, and the crackling could be heard. She didn’t care about the fact that the house was half way ablaze; she needed to save this woman and her baby, so K quickly darted into the burning house.

While inside, the visibility was so low because of the smoke that K couldn’t see two feet in front of her, so she just followed the sound of a baby crying. When she finally reached the sound, she saw the lady laying on the floor unconscious, but the baby still crying, in the ladies hand. K ripped some of her clothing to cover up the baby’s mouth, as she picked it up, to stop any smoke going into its lungs. She then put the lady over her shoulder and slowly went towards the door, carrying the lady and the baby, and finally getting outside.

As K got outside, the scene was all different; all that could be seen now was a blackish sky with smoke going up to it, and the red of the flames coming from every single house, and people running. But the sounds were even more horrifying, people running and carrying the bodies of their loved ones, the sound of houses collapsing, with people still in them, and the horrifying yells of the soon to be dead. K gave the baby to a guy that was running. “Get this baby out of here. Now! Run!” K said before putting the lady down to see if she was alive still, “Come on, wake up, you are not dead, you aren’t dead!” K shouted, but the lady was dead. A lady that didn’t even look the age of 20, who had a newborn child, had died due to the fire, and had died on the shoulder of K. K was basically crying at this point, she couldn’t even save a basic woman, and now K had to save herself.

Hey, you need to get out of this place before you die. Now get up. K thought to herself as she got up and then ran towards the main outpost entrance and exit, dodging falling burning objects, and flames. By the time she got there, it fell, not only did it fall, but it fell on numerous people trapping them, the fire burning them. K ran off before she could see them catch a flame on them and burn, and also trying to ignore all the screams of death and misery around her. Then she remembered about her clan leader, Mazrim, and her other fellow clan members, Shen and Cadell. She then went off course from the second exit to the mission board, but when she got there, her fellow clan members weren’t there, and nowhere to be seen, K then left and ran, hoping that they were alive. She also hoped that she could just get out of this burning outpost alive, alive to see another day of her life.

“Cadell, Shen, Mazrim! If you’re alive, get out of here. I’ll meet you by the river!” K yelled as she ran, towards the last and only exit to get out of this mess, jumping over and through flames. She finally spotted it, but a building fell down in front of her, which gave K a decision. The safer way, which was going all the way around, but it would take longer. Or the faster way, which was going over and through this building. K wanted to live, so she ran all around the building, as she did this, the building then caught up in huge flame; luckily she picked the way, which happened to save her life. The exit was in her sight, she darted towards it, running faster than she ever thought she could, and making it out of the outpost, the gate then collapsing right behind her.

K then turned back and looked at the devastation the fire caused. Families dead, homes destroyed, and this scene burnt into K’s memories. And all this caused by Great Dragons, sent by the Demon Lord, to destroy the Mirage Clan’s outpost and the Mirage Clan itself, and he had succeeded. K was so relieved she had gotten out of alive, but heartbroken of all the people dead that she didn’t notice a tree, which wasn’t on fire, behind her falling, and falling in her direction. She then turned around, and was about to start running again, towards the main river of Varnin, but she then noticed the tree, falling, she tried to run, but had stumbled, and the tree then fell on top of her legs, but K had hit her head on the ground so hard when the tree hit her, it knocked her out. K was just lying there, unconscious, and vulnerable to any creature who wanted a little snack. K was basically dead at this point, even though she got out of the outpost; a simple tree doomed her from her life by falling on her.
