As Gaunt and the other Guardsmen load up onto the Valkyrie, Macaroth's voice comes onto Gaunt's headset. "There's been a change of plans Colonel, you will assassinate the Baron at the ceremony being held today. Make it obvious, but don't get caught. The Baron is an NPC, and the GM's really don't like when the high ranked NPC's bite the dust. Your pilot has already been notified and your course set. Good luck Colonel, Macaroth out." The comm fuzzes out as the the Valkyrie's engines roar to life, lifting the VTOL aircraft off the ground before firing the main thrusters and soaring into the sky. "We got new orders, we are going to assassinate the Baron at today's ceremony. Remember, obvious to know who it was but we don't get caught. Mkoll, you'll take the shot with your lasrifle. Bragg, take the Heavy Bolter sponson in case they fire back, or Mkoll misses. Ezrah, try to subdue any attackers with your reinbow. Remember, keep civilian casualties to a minimum, if at all." They all nod as the aircraft heads for its destination, before stopping and hovering. "Sir, we can't go on, we're stuck here until the GM's lift the barrier." The pilot says "Sir, the Baron's convoy has been spotted a klick to the East!" The radio operator yells "Let's take him Down now, give the GM'S a bit more to worry about, seeing as their precious ruler of Men is about to be removed from office." Gaunt orders before the bird turns around. "Sir, two GM's spotted." The radar/radio man says "That might make our escape a bit difficult, but not impossible." Gaunt says as the convoy comes into view. "Pilot, rip em to shreds." Ibram says moments before the Hellstrike missiles hit their targets, detonating the first and rear trucks, engulfing them in flames. Than, the lascannons rip through the other two with ease, turning them into bloody and smouldering wrecks. Only the Barons car is alive, and the NPC makes a break for it as Oan lines up his iron sights. He fires, and hits his mark. The NPC Baron is killed, sending alerts and alarms to every online GM and to Desolate Warrior. They land quickly, and Ibram sets an Imperial Aquila on the NPC's corpse, claiming the kill before taking off and heading at full speed back to the Vandean Coast. Now that the Baron is dead, the insurgent players can take command of the city, and reward the Imperials with military forces and supplies. "This is why I'm glad the developers didn't make guys like the Baron respawnable." Gaunt smiles as they head home
