Miriel Bookman glanced towards another customer before giving her smile. "One moment please." She turned back to her previous and most important order to finish up the work there.

After several minutes of signing papers she turned to the Lady. Miriel let her gaze travel over the female's attire before she raised it to her eyes that were expressing the same interest as Miriel would have like to express but she had a business to run. Keep a smile and a sharp attitude. Miriel waved and hand towards her gowns and chuckled with dry humor. "Of course. The dresses can come in any size you like. I take requests." She tilted her head viewing the lady before shrugging. "A nice gown would go perfectly for your gorgeous hat. I admire it. It's your choice however, ma'am."

Miriel walked around the counter and moved to stand in front of it instead. She took up a relaxed position and crossed her arms over her chest. She would have to go to the docks to acquire more materials for the new dresses to be made but that wasn't something that she could do during store hours. She let her gaze roam over the streets outside her storefront. She could try closing early but with the wave of customers coming in along with her regulars she hadn't the time nor pause to even get close.

Shall I do it in the morning? She sighed and waved a hand to dismiss the thought. Of course she would. If she hadn't the time this afternoon she could get it done in the morning. It wouldn't delay her tailoring by much. She glanced back at some of the customers floating in and out of her shop before she sighed and moved back around the counter to begin out some of the hemming orders. Those were easiest considering the outlines were already drawn. She pulled out the needle and thread and began with a haste that she had achieved after working at this job for so many years.

Time passed by slowly as her focus was solely on the work she was doing. Sometimes she would glance up at a customer who had work for her to do, or a customer who had question but would return dutifully back to her work. Aren't I just diligent? She shook her head and looked up to watch the Lady from before. "Have you decided on something you like?"
