"Ross! Ross! Look what I made." Estella Marvin said happily, bouncing over to the Day Care assistant while holding a small clay object. Ross smiled at the little girl, who had opened her hands to reveal a small clay dog, though it wasn't the most great work of art ever Ross still grinned, "its beautiful Stella." She said in a slightly thick accent, patting the brunette child's hair and taking the small clay dog. "How about we put him in the Oven, that way he wont get messed up" She said, standing and walking into the art room with little Estella following her. She opened the Clay baking oven and placed the dog inside, with a few of the other Clay sculptures that the kids had made and turned back to Estella. "There, now you can come back tomorrow and he will be ready to go home with you." She said gently, leading the girl away from the room and back to the play area.

Rossalinda was used to this kind of life, her job as an Day Care Assistant didn't pay much, but it pay'd enough that she was able to buy food and stuff to keep her and the other street rats moderately fed and kept well. Despite it being a good job she still had to work in the square sometimes, performing to get some extra cash. Sometimes she made a lot, and at other times she made next to nothing. But it was enough to keep her busy and fed. And for the most part, she enjoyed working at Happy Smiles day care. Taking care of kids came easy to her, and since it wasn't hard work it was if she was being paid for nothing.

She focused her attention back to the kids, Estella was preoccupied playing dolls with Mary Clarence, while on the other side of the room Billy Walsh and Cameron Harvey were wrestling. With a sigh she stood, "Play nice boys!" She shouted to the wrestling boys, who immediately broke apart and apologized. She looked around, there were two kids missing, two fraternal twins, Marcie and Jason Reese. They had always been the outcast children of the group, and more often then not she found them making trouble. She looked around, moving from the play room, to the nap room, to the lobby, where she saw Matisse, her boss, asleep at her desk. With the two twins painting on her face with the acrylic paint from the art room. Rossalinda couldn't help but laugh as she extracted the kids from the desk ad gave them a stern look. "You know ill have to put you in time out for this" she said, knowing fully well that the twins were two children that she couldn't even begin to Fathom what was inside their heads.

"Wake up Matisse" She said slamming her hand on the desk, causing Matisse to awaken, and jump up. "Almost time for the kids to be picked up?" She asked wearily, looking at the two little monsters at Ross's feet. Ross nodded, and laughed. "you might wan to clean up a bit." She laughed, the kids had painted a moustache, and a uni-brow on her. Along with weird whisker looking things on her cheeks. Rossalinda hoped that the paint hadn't dried yet, because that would make it more painful to scrub off. Meanwhile, the twins had ran back off and into the playroom, giggling their heads off. Ross shook her head as Matisse shrieked at her reflection in her mini mirror and ran off to the bathroom.

Thirty more minutes of watching the kids passed by fast, and soon she heard the familiar sound of mothers and fathers coming to pick up their children. She let the kids run off to their families and sighed, cleaning up the mess that had been made. She finished up work and waved goodbye to Matisse, collecting her pay for that day and clocking out. It was only thirty dollars, a small sum of money for watching six kids for five hours that day. She sighed, not bothering to argue with Matisse about it, just as long as she could get some food for her and the others it would be alright. She stopped by the market before she made her way home. Grabbing some food, it was very little food, but it would be enough. It took her roughly thirty minutes to get there, and she walked in, not at all bothered by the stench.

"Hello Bishop" she said kindly, watching as he tried to comfort one of the younger boys. She nodded, not wanting to interrupt as she laid the small bag of food on the table. Most of it was for the others, she was content with just eating a small apple that had costed nothing more then five cents. She suspected after biting into it that it was a rotten apple, but food was food, and she was in no place to complain.
