(San Francisco International Airport)
Daniel continued to build his structure upwards until he saw Jen flying flying in his general direction. When she arrived at her destination she asked him if he had seen anyone else, to which he responded by shaking his head. "I haven't seen any of them since we started." As he answered he saw her looking amongst the ruins and took a quick glimpse in a few directions with an objective disk of ice over his right eye, he didn't see anything beyond the rubble. As he turned to face her again a bolt of lightning struck her and caused her to glow for an instant, understandably surprising Daniel. She looked tired and began to slowly sink beneath his pillar with a small smile on her face. "Sorry 'bout this, when you've just gotten up there and all. I'm just a bit tired."
"You don't need to-" she had descended quite far and now began flying around the airport, finally landing on the broken wing of a plane. She really didn't need to worry, yes he had spent some energy building that structure but now he got to slide down it, something that never seemed boring to him. When he reached the bottom he stumbled a little, not due to some imbalance but because of the ground shaking as Maxi crashed into it. "Ah frosty... sorry i didn't see you there with your ice castle." Daniel was tempted to topple his 'castle,' possibly misjudging where it would land by whatever distance he would come up with when the others asked why he had killed Maxi. He resisted the urge, having spent the passed several hours indulging in them, and sent him a little smirk as he leaned against his pillar.
When he opened his eyes he saw that the storm clouds were becoming more active and that Jen was taking a deep breath. He was going to ask what she was doing, maybe she had asthma or something, when he got his answer to the sound of a very loud voice. "Hey guys, where should we go next? If we stay in one place too long, reinforcements or something will probably end up coming here sooner or later. Not that we'll have a problem with that, but I'm just saying..." He covered his ears midway through the sentence and was still able to hear in filling his mind, at this rate he wouldn't need other people to start his headaches, he could just have Jen scream in his ears. Unfortunately it wasn't over and she continued on with her somewhat rumbling voice. "So. Anyone up for San Jose and whatever's there between us?" After that she became quiet and he looked over to the broken wing and noticed her sleeping there with a cute look on her face.
"So... what did she say?" He was going to give this to him but since Maxi decided to be annoying, Daniel thought it would be funnier to just play with it in front of him. He rummaged around in the bag he had stored the food he had been eating along the way and pulled from it an apple, something he quickly drew attention to by throwing it up in the air a good five times. He tossed it as far as he could at a good angle and began using it for target practice, as he shot shard after shard into. Finishing by ripping the apple apart from within, Daniel knew that he needed to stop, he had used enough magic to become tired himself. After all this he answered Maxi's original question, "She asked where we should go next and suggested San Jose."
