Asher Lewis
The atmosphere around the bonfire had changed. Though the fire stayed the same, flickering up towards the stars and providing them with warmth, the vibe had reversed. The ones who felt the change were both excited to, but also worried for their brothers and sisters. But Asher's mood plummeted from "having fun" to downright "sad". He could feel a flicker of the change in his spine and skin, but it was so subtle he could barely feel it while the others were already on their ways to wolves. He didn't move from his spot on the ground, but closed his eyes and focused on breathing, somehow hoping he could will the change to come.
After a moment, he could tell that the feeling was getting stronger, but at a pace much slower than usual. "We really need to find out what's doing this to us," he said quietly. He hoped his change was on the way.

Riley Hill
Riley nodded in agreement, and almost felt bad. Yeah, this was her favorite part of the day. But she was having no trouble phasing (tonight, anyway) and she knew the frustration that her pack must be feeling right now. It was a heavy feeling in the air as the sun said its goodbyes.
She could try to keep her wolf at bay, but a week ago everyone had decided that would be too dangerous right now. If you felt the change, take advantage of it. None of them knew if keeping themselves human for an hour or so would keep them human for the rest of the night now... So trying to keep her twinge of guilt at bay, she focused on all the sensations that came with becoming a wolf. The sounds that the bones make while they're adapting a new shape and grinding against each other. The tickling feeling of winter-coat fur growing in through your skin. And the senses. Oh, the senses. It was always the first part of the change. Smell was especially increased, along with hearing, but the colors in vision changed. While you once saw all colors of the world, you only saw a few in this shape. It only took a short minute for the new red wolf to scramble off her back, the way she had been laying as a human. She sat on her haunches and eyed the others, her head and ears lowering a bit as the feeling of guilt came back. Thankfully that was a very human emotion, one this body couldn't comprehend as powerfully.
