Standing up and moving to the back of the plane where the jump master was standing, waiting for her to take the dive. She gave him a smile and a quick kiss on the cheek for his help this evening, as it had been a last minute request. The orders had come in that afternoon and her car was already in the shop for some minor repairs, so she figured that a spectacular entrance was in order to meet the new team. Out the door Madison Shaw went and the wind instantly whipped about her feminine form and pulled her brunette hair back behind in her a stream of brown locks.
After a few seconds, she checked her gps and determined she had plenty of time for a little bit of fun. Tucking her arms into her side and straightening her legs out behind her, she became a human bullet aimed at the earth itself. Zipping towards the ground at unbelievable speeds, the adrenaline raced through her veins and everything seemed to slow down to her, turning every second into minutes for her to processes. Then the warning light on her gps unit began to go off, letting her know that she’d already passed the safe zone for deploying her chute. With a mischievous grin and a jerk of her right hand across her chest and the large ram-air style parachute exploded open behind her.
Those on the roof would see her gliding down onto the opposite side of the rooftop, landing into the helicopter blades wouldn’t be good for her health. As soon as her heavy black combat boots touched the rooftop, a single yank of a specially designed cord and the chute and pack vanished into the night’s breeze. Standing up from her crouched landing position and pulling the goggles off her eyes, she shook her brown locks from in front of her face and looked those present over. The first person her eye fell on was Salem Cross, and then she moved over to the others whose names she didn’t know yet.
Moving from her landing spot over to the rest of the team that was present and stopping just within reaching distance of Cross, she extended her right hand. Still wearing her fingerless black leather gloves, she waiting for him to shake her hand, “The names Madison Shaw, close-quarters expert at your command Sir,” she gave him a playful wink as she spoke the sir.
