Another new race had emerged in the second age of the gods, a new breed all together. A mixture of bird and man to form the harpie, large vicious creatures by nature but given the free will and sentient ability to choose. Choose to worship. Once their had been created, huge flocks of them set off in the direction their goddess had suggested. South, the mountains seemed like a fine place for them to roost and to settle but they didnt venture too far from their sacred home. They instead lived where scrub land met forest, living on the edge of both and the coast mountains of the north east. There they had the forest creatures and the fish both to feed them, swooping down upon both.

Although as fate would have it a lone tribe was also dwelling in the caves and coast of the mountain, emphasis on was. The harpies did not care for unbelivers a great deal and decended upon them with a fury unmatched by simple cave men who knew nothing yet of the divine storm brewing. Their basic hunting tools were no match for harpy talons and the winged devils of Arianrhod, which slaughtered them all and feasted upon them. The harpies did not mind killing, in fact they were well suited too it.

However they obeyed well the rules of their mistress, neither son of Bellegar or child of Arianrhod would be touched by them. Not when they had so much food to prey upon, the deer and fish both. They did mark their territory though, the mountain they had called home was littered with totems and jaggling animal bones. Making it quite clear who owned the mountain and whos territory it belonged too, feathers also strewn on their artifical markings. A trail for Bellegar to find should he want to trade with the winged devils.

Power was drained from the wind goddess Arianrhod, for creating life came with a heavy cost even with the pay of new worship. (Power level 2)
