Farren gauged the vampire’s expression… and found himself immensely satisfied at the growing scowl on the vampire’s face. He could see the reluctance on the vampire’s face, but clearly the human girl was swaying the vampire’s judgment in the hybrids’ favor. The corners of Farren’s mouth twitched upwards, just for a moment before he recomposed himself. “If you’re concerned about hybrids, I made sure to rid any evidence of our travels. They won’t be able to track us,” he interrupted, maintaining the same steady and even tone.

Although the vampire seemed to be using it as an excuse to keep them away, Farren saw his comment a positive thing. It meant that the fool didn’t suspect a thing… meaning that what he viewed the most difficult aspect of the plan was already over. However, the vampire’s hesitation was rather unexpected. It seemed that they would have to play on the human girl’s compassion – from her previous words, Farren had determined her to have a surplus of it. “If it is too bothersome, we will seek refuge elsewhere,” he stated. He then purposefully glanced at Sora’s arm, drawing attention to it. He had to commend the hunter on the idea - it made things all the easier.

Turning back to the vampire – or rather, the human girl, he added, “At the very least, might we receive medical aid for Myrrin’s arm?” The name was foreign on Farren’s tongue, but he managed to get it out smoothly. He made note to invent false names beforehand next time, so that they would not have to rely on Eclipse. A fair warrior, but clearly poor at inventing names. There was a slight issue that vampires healed rather quickly compared to hybrids… but that line of questioning was easily evaded.“Hybrid venom,” he said quietly. “It slows the healing process. We’d rather him be treated before we travel any further.”
