Coco and Vanilla

Coco glanced back up and turned her head towards Bishie. He had a solemn and depressed expression; it was as if he felt lost, trying to search for a resolution. Maybe Coco shouldn't have confessed her secret to him. He now probably thought she was insane and needed "special" help. Coco sucked it in and prepared for what Bishie was going to say about her secret, "You too? Oh please, it's not that big of a deal!I've been closet bisexual for years, don't tell, but that wasn't even my secret!", he cheerfully commented, surprising Coco out of her pity mood. Coco knew that Bishie was the same like her and highly respected that he had the same views as her. The way Bishie confidently stated it to her made Coco feel a little more at ease, "At least he accepts it....", she thought reassuringly, smiling slightly at Bishie sticking his tongue out at her and patting her lightly on the head. He then told her that she shouldn't worry about what people think of her preference of choice, "Don't ever let anyone tell you there's something wrong with it! Because there's not. I accept male customers for a reason. I would if I were straight. "If anyone thinks there's something wrong with it, then they obviously don't deserve to know you, because you're too awesome for them to understand!", he finished off, relaxing himself against the wall more.

"That's if my own kin can accept that fact about me....", Coco added sadly while folding her arms tightly. That's right....Her family wouldn't understand nor would want to, as a mater of fact. They were a strict christian family who never condone such intolerable norms. The thought of it made Coco sink lower until her back touched the cold floor. Now she was lying down, face up, staring at the ceiling, hopelessly. She still felt a little better knowing someone, like Bishie, understood and cared, not flagging her off as being a mental case who had too much "baggage" for people to stand. Coco turned her head to Bishie and saw him daze out in space. Something about him made Coco want to pry and figure out more. Naturally, Coco always had a strong intuition that made her have uncanny abilities to know whats on someone's mind without them telling her, first hand. She knew Bishie was hiding something, perhaps, mildly dark, family issues that was keeping him from wanting to talk about it.

"Alright... My secret... Uhm...", Bishie quietly started off, having trouble trying to say it all out. "Come on...it's alright. Tell me what's wrong....", Coco reassuringly told him, sitting up next to him again. Bishie drooped his head, feeling regretful at what he was going to continue about, "I'm not as unlucky as I seem to be... I mean, everyone thinks that I'm always falling down and getting hit by stuff, but..." He sighed quietly, "That's true... But... There's a lot more to it, you know? I mean... I never actually get hurt by that stuff... It's not that serious, never leaves a mark." He started to mumble slightly, becoming harder to understand, but not completely impossible to catch. "So... My secret is.. That I have no money... I walk to school and home from school... My dad's an alcoholic, he spent all of the money we used to have on liquor... When I grew up, he noticed how girly I was, so he tried to do something, but it failed and I only got worse. So now, he copes by drinking... A-and occasionally...Occasionally he gets angry....", he elaborately confessed to her, swallowing air, nervously, in the process.

Coco's eyes widened and looked very surprised, trying her best to let Bishie's depressing story sink in. She immediately felt sorry, feeling Bishie's pain with her own. She now knew that she wasn't the only one suffering in self-agony. At least now that she had someone to relate and talk to without them not understanding and shrugging it off like it was nothing. "Bishie...I'm so sorry you have to go through with that on a daily basis. Buddy, your not the only one who is going through rough times....I am too...", she replied defending him. She made sure that they were going to stick together and go through with it together; through the bad and good times. Coco put her arm around his shoulder and happily went through the storm with him, "We'll get through this together. I'm always going to be there for you, no matter what...", she reassuringly told him while he rubbed his left eye from tearing up.

"But it's no big deal! It's much better than rejection!", Bishie said, trying to make light of the story. Coco smiled and nodded her head in agreement. Coco thought that was the right way to put it too, "Your so right about that, ma amiee!", she joyfully regaining back her happiness as well. "So do you say? Wanna come back to the club? I promise, I won't let anyone bother you. Never again, if I have to jump in front of a train, I'll keep you out of harms way", he said with much chipperness, promising to defend her at all costs. Coco's eyes lit up happily, taking Bishie's hand to help herself up. She smoothed her ruffled punk rock black skirt down, trying her best to get the wrinkles out, "You know what? I think that's a good idea!", she added, agreeing with Bishie. Coco was going to try her best to feel better about herself even if it had to hurt a little. No one was going to take that joy away from her not even her.....sister. Coco didn't even care, now, if Vanilla thought some negative way about her. This was her life, in all her cockiness, and she wasn't going to let anyone rule it for her!

Meanwhile....

Vanilla rose her head up, after much crying, and continued to stare in space. Coco, her own sister, a bisexual? Vanilla couldn't understand it and didn't know how to comprehend. As a matter of fact, Vanilla didn't want to understand it! Oh! Why did Coco spring that drama number on her? Vanilla hoped, regretfully, that Coco was just lying to her and Bishie, wanting them to feel sorry for her. Coco was known for conjuring up lying tales about herself, no matter how bizarre, just to get sympathy and attention all on her.

Like the time she couldn't have her way, wanting to stay out late at night. Coco and her friends wanted to go to a late-night party on the south side of Paris. Her parent's said no, not wanting Coco to get kidnapped or hurt out at night. Coco, in a fit of rage, told her parents that she was going to be a nun and live like a hermit for the rest of her life. While saying this, Coco pretended to pack her bags, giving off the illusion like she was going to go through with it. At the time, Vanilla watched in the background looking at her sister with scornful eyes. How dare Coco coerce her parents into letting her go to that party, that didn't have adult supervision, threatening to be a nun for life! But alas...as the "story" goes, their parent's, dumbly, gave in, Coco had her way, again, and Vanilla was left out, ignored as usual.

Vanilla shook her head of that vicious memory and narrowed her eyes in much anger, "That spoiled brat!", she shouted in her mind with a hiss. But what if she was telling the truth....What if she really did like the same sex....Vanilla's eyebrows rose up in fear starting to believe her sister. Vanilla then thought Coco had really reached to her lowest, hurting Vanilla and her parent's to the max. Vanilla staggeringly got up, fixing her baby pink skirt that was twisted while negative thoughts swirled around her unnerving mind. She sighed depressingly, picking up her clear pink tote and then began to walk down the hall, wanting to exit the school building and go home without Coco.
