The peaceful times of the second age were slowly dying, as the gods expanded and moved closer to one another tensions began to rise. Even those who had kept to themselves could no longer afford to do so, or would not be able to for long. It seemd Arianrhod had finially come to terms with this and was making plans to defend herself.

A pact was forged with Bellegar to secure both their fronts to the danger of the uncontrolled Suo-ata which were truly becomming a scourge. Plans were made for a fort to cover the eastern pass through the mountains that both the gods shared, to help defend against rampaging lizardmen. Plans were also made to ease the tension between the harpies and the Moridians, the ants which had been attacked on occassion by those winged devils.

It seemed that both gods understood the power of cooperation but wether this was an alliance or merely a deal of convience remained to be seen. What was sure was that a fort in the east would help secure the valley and plains that lead straight to Agron, but also shield the nomands from some of the wrath of Suo-ata. Should it come to that. They already had their trading post which stood as a beacon for divine cooperation, prospering for both of them.

Fort Ordo received a group of travellers too, a hundred archers from the nomandic lands. Gifted shots with the bow and a worthy addition to the defense of the fortress. Many marvels were seen by the wind goddess people, they saw giant barbarian men and even actual giants. Strange bug like beings that skuttled about also, adding to the fortifications of the buildings. The Nomands had never seen such things and marvelled at the power of the earth god, some even stopping to pay tribute at the shrine he had errected within the fort out of respect. Before they began to practice firing arrows off the walls of the fort although they quickly tired of this, it wasnt long before the Nomands ventured out to see first hand the terrible might of the Suo-ata.

South of the fort was a warzone, battle could be heard at all hours of the day. Skirmishes with ants and lizardmen had full out errupted into constant wars. Some lizardmen tribes repeatedly rushing up the side of rocky faces to meet Moridian defenders who hurled rocks down at them and spat acid into the ranks. It was a vile place and nomands for the first time were fearful of the wars that were heading to their lands, which only furthered their resolve to fight hard. Knowing that their actions may well prevent the lizards every getting up north.

They ambushed many too, popping out of the darkness and cutting down whole groups of lizards with their arrows and sneak tactics. The lizardmen were savage creatures, natural predators in the forest. But the nomands of Arianrhod were expect hunters, out matching Bellegar's rangers with simple ease. They used trap after fient after trap to trick and confuse the dull beasts. Still it mattered little, the area was infested with them.

Nomands near the harpies also took up this game on their gods orders, venturing south to begin hunting the most expansive of the tribes close to them. Picking them off one by one. They culled them best they could and never suffered losses, their ghost like tactics easilly outwitting the beasts. But it was also a futile gesture, it merely slowed the lizards. Their design ment that they were perfectly caperble of rebuilding their losses, they didnt even realise or notice they were being hunted.

With her people busy though it seemed the god of air had something to say to Chath too. Her appearance indeed was noted by the fire god and she would not doubt hear his words before she left his city. Belief was a powerful thing, but also a dangerous thing. Introducing a shrine into Obsidia had given Arianrhod a small foothold in the desert domain and she was using it to full effect. Several more people flocking to her shrine at her appearance. Though it remained to see how consequences of such brazen action would unfold. One thing was sure though, gods didnt bow to other gods and as the power of wind grew it seemed she was flexing her etheral muscle.
