~Death the Kid

Groggy eyes opened to a dimly lit bedroom furnished with expensive looking... furnishings... Death the Kid let his eyes adjust to the small amount of light that came from various sconces set in the walls. Blinking wearily he realised he knew this place, had been here for some time, and yet still was unsure of where 'here' was. The room was beautifully decorated with exquisite paintings along the walls and accessories nearly covering every surface. It was furnished with a large dark wooden four-poster bed with thick crimson blankets and full pillows, a matching wardrobe and a small writing desk. Although not symmetrical it was very nearly perfect. Except for that painting above the desk...

Kid crawled from the warm bed, finding fuzzy black slippers on the floor and went to the desk. Reaching up he felt the silk sleeves of his black pajamas as they slid along his arms. He took quite a few minutes carefully adjusting the picture before stepping back to admire his handiwork.
