~Death the Kidd

Kidd turned as he heard a voice and from the corner of his eye the painting appeared to be straight. In front of him now stood a woman with dark skin and purple(?) eyes, her damp hair a shade darker than it's usual metallic silver. She smiled at him and he felt himself smile back. She was familiar enough, though the 'my child' comment didn't seem quite right, and dad being on a business trip, he shrugged, most fathers were on business trips, his more than most it seemed.

His dream, Kidd looked down at the floor to think, Shinigamis, Weapons, it sounded familiar but also far off, like a dream. Had that been what was bothering him? He looked back at the painting, now perfectly straight and aligned and evenly spaced with the other paintings, this one was of a dark-haired man sitting atop a large roan horse. The two stood proudly under the shade of a willow tree, the branches had been painted both behind and in front of the pair, giving it a sort of shadowy look. Was that his father?
