Eleiāmei was managing her motionless stance with great poise and concentration despite the Gabbe creature continuing to speak rudely. Nothing logical was going to get through to her. Nothing Elei could say would convince the lot that other worldly creatures existed and were much more dangerous to interact with. If the way Gabbe spoke now would be her reaction to anyone new, she would be a goner, slapped on the wrist if lucky. The longer they clung to their idea of āglorified rulersā of this planet, the longer it would take them to adjust to a new life. Where would they go next anyway? All they ever knew of this dying planet. Their only connection to any information about the universe and teleporting was standing in the form of herself and yet they shunned the knowledge because of what, ego? It was foolish and reckless. Her mere stance that might come of threatening was a result of this inner frustration.
The draft of air through the room did not sway the suspended creature even a millimeter, indeed, did not even seem to touch her now, as if the laws of mother nature did not apply to the Aduro. Each of these humans were making Elei question the end outcome of this impromptu meeting. Currently in the middle of the others, she had to revert to a reserved energy just to keep a level mind. Did any one of them have the upper hand here? Any form of control? It appeared not-- the heated emotions and sharp words lingering amongst a mist of distrust. Elei knew it was natural for a lack of trust, but living so long the importance of such suspensions grew unnecessary. She adapted to the next level of survival which was a lifestyle where no term like that was needed; where self reliance and face value got one places.
Eleiāmei had seen herself in situations all to familiar to this. It happened upon any first encounter to a new planet, where developed creatures shared communication and therefore other complex actions. Some of those civilizations were advanced to the point of alliances.. having friends, enemies. Like her kind had developed once upon a time. And that development led to war and total destruction. As she traveled to find a new meaning for her life, a possible thread of hope tied to new beginnings, Elei had to confront new organisms that had values based on trust. Jupiono, Eshara, Learies, and on and on... all these planets were the homes of natives that once took caution of Elei. And in time, Elei managed to gain this theory of trust that any complex society developed and through amok. It was a theory that she most struggled with, for her own reserves in trust had been shaken by the hauntings of the Nyx. Always encircled in the beginning, and then always released. Trusted. Not trusted. Words for face value, words of truth and lies. Self reliance verses group reliance. Preservation. This was just another moment. Flashes of the uncountable meetings raced through Eleiās mind, images that held history and experience.
When the room finally quieted down, Kaine had taken leave-- teleporting somewhere. It was in the progression afterwards that Elei recorded each action to memory, glowing eyes engulfed in reading the expressions of the remaining few. They each showed a surprise in the disappearance. Fortunately it made the window of opportunity more assessable to Elei. She could speak again.
āFalwich. I know you are able to infiltrate minds. I could feel you earlier inside,ā Elei began slowly, placing her hands on the two sides of her head, cupping her hair gently. āIf you do not take my words for truth, why donāt you read my mind? Would that not clear things up?ā the question resided, posed very quietly towards the seated man. The memories were still fresh in her mind, and she replayed her travels over and over, wondering if this might be the only way to build common ground. Exposing herself like such was something new to Elei but it didnāt worry her. As the situation stayed, it was clear what was going on. They had no clear direction on where to go after here, and that fear of the unknown was channeled in to her arrival. But she, on the other hand, could tell them vital information if they were willing to treat her with the respect she desired. If they couldnāt come to an agreement, Elei would be able to leave Lado with no problem and continue on her way. And lastly, at the very core of Eleiās current emotions, she still clung to the natural habit of curiosity, of wanting to stick around and see what these unique human-like beings would decide next.
The faint footsteps from behind led Elei to turn around and see that Kaine had returned.
