Her dress was one her mother had worn before as well. Vampires had family traditions as well. Aavyn couldn't believe today was her wedding day. It seemed like just yesterday she was killing humans without a second thought and now she is being married to one of them. It wasn't her choice of husband to say the least. Holding a straight face she continued to look at herself in the long mirror hanging on the wall. Lucky for her it was the only mirror she could see herself in. She hated that in any other mirror she couldn't see herself in it. But she wasn't going to complain to her parents and get a long lecture in return. "Here darling." Her mother handed her a pair of black roses seeing it was a family tradition of theirs. Whenever someone in their family was married the bride would always carry black roses with her.
"Thank you mother." Kissing her mother on the cheek her father decided to look in the room. "You look beautiful." He gave a smile of approval before giving her a quick hug. Unlike most weddings her father wasn't going to walk her down the isle. She was to walk by herself to show her independence. Her father gave her a small squeeze and a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the room. "Are you ready? Remember to carry yourself as a woman of status." Her mother placed her pointer finger under her daughters chin and tilted it up more. "Don't forget you are representing your family name." As if Aavyn didn't already know such a thing. She gave her mother a smile letting her know she understood. After another hug her mother walked out of the room. Taking a deep breath she walked out of the room as well. She waited for her to walk down the isle. In the meantime she took the time to enjoy the Gothic architecture of the church they were in.
